Scruffy dog enjoying the sun. Yes I was a bit trigger happy yesterday!!!! Fiddled with in PSP but haven’t a clue what I did now! Various duplicate layers, blending and masking! To comply with group rules: / Started photography May 2008 / Nikon D40 18-55mm at 18mm, natural light. / I found Scruffy 2 months ago on wild campo land in Spain. She was pregnant, full of ticks, fleas and worms! Thanks to a local animal charity, they vacinated her and speyed her. She is the cheekiest, funniest and most adorable dog you could wish for.
I dedicate this image to all those who have suffered or do suffer from their black moments of depression. Never forget, there is always a glimmer of hope, we just have to seek it out. Low-key dandelion macro. Samsung GX20, Sigma 50mm macro lens.
Taken in Puhoi cemetery north of Auckland just before the skies opened. I thought the crosses and the sheep’s future existence rather poignant. Canon 5D 70-200mm F2.8 L f2.8 1/1000 FL 200mm

Attempting some Low-Key photography This is a South African Cloof wine gorgeously sensuous, entwined with Shiraz and the spiced vanilla of French Oak. A wine with curves where others don’t have places

Wow! This work has been featured on 22 Nov 2009 on RB homepage together with seven low-key-themed images. This is actually an excersise I decided to try. I had a capture with dominant midtones and coverted it to both low and high key images. I was going for something that would keep the viewer interested for a while with the low key. It also had to have a lot of ‘personality’ if you know what I mean. On the other hand the high key version: is supposed to be something very simple, pure and to be honest, without much depth. In a few words, just a nice picture on a wall. Camera Data / Make: SONY / Model: DSLR-A300 / Shutter Speed: 1/10 second / Aperture: F/4.0 / Focal Length: 75 mm / ISO Speed: 400 High key version: /
