This is a story that sort of describes a chain, like a food chain, but this chain is more of a coldness intertwined with caring chain. A coldness because intentional harm is inflicted until death, yet a caring because there is some sort of bond between the victim and the perpetrator, like being kept in a cage and cared for while being tortured, and the ultimate outcome of being caged will be death.
