  • One night I awoke to see a light beaming down from the sky. / It shone through the roof and onto the bed where I lay. / It seemed as if the moon was alive and burning right through to touch my very soul. In the light the energy uplifted me, I felt no pain, no confusion, no tiredness, only clarity and peace and a deep deep sense of love. I revelled in the glow. / And I knew I had to share what I had discovered. “Create it, and they will come” said the voices. / I had a vision of people from all over the world travelling to this place to stand in the light, to find healing, and solace, and wisdom and peace, to know the meaning of love. / I knew that if I could indeed create it, and share the message with the people, that they would come and stand in the light with me. And there would be an end to their suffering. But my task was to find the words to describe what I had seen, and to create images to share my vision. What language would the spirit recognize, what words would the heart understand? I was merely one woman and yet my heart wanted to share with the universe. I was afraid to open my mouth for fear of being ridiculed, scorned or worse still, just ignored. What could I say or do that could convey the message my heart held? So in the deepest part of my being, where the creative muse dwells and plays as a child, I summoned my courage and faith that the language of the heart would be loud enough and clear enough to reach the minds and ears of the world. And I trusted that when I spoke, the people would listen, when I opened my eyes and raised my hands, the people would see. So I created, / and I believed in magic…... / and I knew that with true love….. / words are not necessary when the heart speaks. So I brought my message to the world in a language that they could understand. / And then I waited….. (“From the Heart of the Muse”......an ageless tale for modern times / by “sunshiine”...)

  • A Window of Compassion…. Avalokiteshvara is the embodiment of the compassion of all the Buddhas…One who empathizes with all living and suffering upon the face of the Earth so much so that he refrained from his own blissful attainment to become a Buddha until he had saved all the creatures of the Earth. / His mission – to listen to the prayers of all sentient beings and assist them to reach Nirvana – a state of ultimate bliss and the end of suffering. IN Tibetan Buddhism, he is also known as Chenrezig – Tibetan Buddhists believe the Dalai Lama to be the incarnation of Chenrezig. The Chinese depict this deity as the Goddess of Compassion Quan Yin. Whether Indian, Tibetan, Chinese, or simply one who chooses no cultural banner, the gift of compassion is a basic human right and aspiration…. to open one’s heart to non-judgment, unconditional love, forgiveness, joy and the overwhelming kindness that is symbolized by this deity is intrinsic to our very being. It is in the giving and receiving of compassion that the flow of all life on this planet is ensured. May you walk in beauty and the light of compassion…...

  • Palm Silhouettes / Sunset Christmas Day on Maui The Adventurer “Dusk on the sea; the fading twilight shifts / The night wind bears the ocean’s whisper dim wind, on your bosom many a phantom drifts - A silver star climbs up the blue world rim. / Wind, make the green leaves dance above me here And idly swing my silken hammock – so; / Now, on that glimmering molten silver mere / Send the long ripples wavering to and fro. / And let your moon-white tresses touch my face And let me know your slim-armed, cool embrace While to my dreamy soul you whisper low. Dream – aye, I’ve dreamed since last night left her tower And now again she comes on star-soled feet. Welcome, old friend; here in this rose-gemmed bower I’ve drowsed away your Sultan’s golden heat. Here in my hammock, Time I’ve dreamed away For I have but to stretch a hand out, lo, I’m treading languorous shores of Yesterday, Moon-silvered deserts or the star-weird snow; I float o’er seas where ships are purple shells, / I hear the tinkle of the camel bells / That waft down Cairo’s streets when dawn winds blow. South Seas! I watch when dusky twilight comes Making vague gods of ancient, sea-set trees. / The world path beckons – loud the mystic drums – Here at my hand the magic golden keys / That fit the doors of Romance, / Wonder, / strange / Dim gossamer adventures; seas and stars. Why, I have roamed the far Moon Mountain range When sunset minted gold in shimmering bars. / All eager eyed I’ve sailed from ports of Spain / And watched the flashing topaz of the Main / When dawn was flinging witch fire on the spars. / I am content in dreams to roam my fill / The vagrant, drifting sport of wind and tide, / Slave of the greater freedom, venture’s thrill; / Here every magic ship on which I ride. Gold, green, blue, red, a priceless treasure trove, More wealth than ever pirate dared to dream. / My hammock swings – about the world I rove. / The sunset’s dusk, the dawning’s glide and gleam, Moon-dappled leaves are murmuring in the wind Which whispers tales. Lo, Tyre is just behind, Through seas of dawn I sail, / Romance abeam.” ~ by Robert Ervin Howard My images do not belong to the public domain and may not be reproduced in any manner whatsover without my express written authorization. / Copyright © Sharon Mau 2009 / All Rights Reserved Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi / 25 December 2008 19:25:33 / Tv Shutter Speed 1/250 / Av Aperture Value 10.0 / ISO 100 / Lens EF28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM / Focal Length 28.0 mm Currently with 995 Views and 1 Sale

  • As I finished this work this morning, I was soon reminded that my path must be sacred and true, as I witnessed 4 Bald Eagles and 2 Golden Eagles sitting along the river treeline, never since we’ve been here have I seen a grouping like this together. My body was tingling from head to toe and I got so caught up in the beauty, I could only take a few photographs (which I’ll share soon). / In Northern America, the Eagle was considered great medicine power. To the Native Americans there were different kinds and divisions of Eagles. The Golden Eagle had a very high rank. The most potent and magical was the Sky Eagle which the Iroquois called Shadahgeyah. Among the Hopi, the Eagle god was called Kwahu and according to their legends, this great bird seldom came below the clouds; only the holiest of Shamans ever saw it. Even the Aztecs said this bird represented celestial power and the rising Sun. / As a Solar Eclipse approaches with the Chinese New Year on 1/26/09, the thought behind this Mandala becomes more clear…”We Are ALL One Tribe” Rainbow Hoop Created with Wacom Graphic pad/pen and enhanced with Redfield plug-in fractilius filter and photoshop7

  • Acrylic with metallic and glitter overlays on gallery wrap canvas, 40×40cm I should be feeling fantastic, my spirit should be soaring – instead I find myself earthbound and full of pain. Having stupidly broken my toe on Monday (the first broken bone ever), and being unable to take pain meds I just feel like crap. So I paint. This is for my sons girlfriends 18th Birthday and the symbology is clear (well, to me anyway) – but you can add your interpretations please:) Its also based in the song that I played a lot: INXS – Afterglow: “Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow / Heal me from all this sorrow / As I let you go I will find my way when I see your eyes / Now I’m living in your afterglow…” reproduced in part all credit and copyright of these lyrics belong to INXS

  • Blowing memory bubbles in my mind’s eye / The inner child once lost, is now satisfied, No time for childhood, has long since gone past / Creative play and expressive fun, now a blast, Lost in the shadows of life’s time and space / Profoundly regained in moments of grace, Within me again, so proud to loudly report / With no fear of traumas’ outing transport, Little bubble fae nestled safely in my skin / To love, respect , honor and listen herein, N’er again will I lose you, nor ignore your cry / Your imaginative spirit gives us the wings to fly. ©tkrosevear 3/30/2009 Processing a splintering of soul, retrieving my four year old self ~ lost and unheard until recently. • The never ending circle of life, the transformation of love – as it was, so will it be… / Roses entwined with butterflies – aligned with the heart and throat chakras … speak with love… speak your love… speak love… As we grow through life, we change. The passage through change; the transition to a new life and a new way of being is usually one of great chaos and pain – all birth is… but the rewards are great joy and beauty, always and forever… Meditate on your passage through this life. / Let go of the burdens that no longer serve you. / Heal the places within that still need care. / Speak with love… From the original acrylic on canvas with metallic overlays. Original FOR SALE $650.00 AUD plus postage and handling. Full copyright applies.

  • Every day she holds out her hand and offers them to us… / Every day, her gifts await our open eyes / and open hearts. / Will you stop, recognize, and receive these gifts? / Or will you, trapped within your own giftless cycles, / walk blindly by. / The choice is yours. Our beautiful planet brings these gifts to us….. / and our spirits endow us with these powerful expressions of our soul…... This is my gift – little glimpses of that which inspires me daily – with much love, to my friends here on redbubble…. you know who you are…all of you. xxxx

  • Many thanks for viewing.

  • Over seven years ago, I became increasingly aware of the Earth changes and shifts in energy. Initially I tried to ignore them or find “logical” explanations as to what was happening, but eventually I was overwhelmed by what was happening on all levels around me. / Gradually I realized that it was the Earth herself who was trying to communicate with me.. / So I was compelled to take pen and paper and go and sit quietly in nature and ask “What is it you wish to tell me?” ...and this is what she said / ....... It has taken a long time for me to do this, but what was written back in 2003 has now been published in a book together with a collection of my images, and will be available for those who wish to read the message or honour the planet that we would be nothing without. This piece of art is to celebrate the publication of the book, Message From Mother Earth From the book….. “Do not be afraid. This is powerful awareness. But it is also useful and healing too. It teaches you that we can create the world we live in, by the power of our thoughts. You are seeing that your connection with every part of your life begins and ends within yourself, within your heart, within your true thoughts. You are part of this circle of life, this very web, this intricate design of cosmic energy. You are at the heart of it and from your heart comes the power to weave your own beautiful creation. It is within you to change, to heal, to create, and to simply BE. Do not overlook the importance of this knowledge. And do not overlook the magic. For if you can communicate with the planet you stand upon, and speak together from the heart, then nothing is impossible in heaven and earth! Believe it, and it shall be so. Disbelieve, and you hold only a hand full of dirt, and some air. I am real, and so are you, and we are connected.”

  • “The Road Less Traveled” chamberstock.deviantart.com / background purchased textures my own This is something that fits my personality. / I was, growing up and even now, the one who never joined the “popular groups”. / I was always just a little bit on the fringe. / While other kids back in the 80’s were loving Sting (I liked him too) – I was immersed in old movies with Humphrey Bogart. / I didn’t smoke pot, didn’t drink …but had my own “edginess” that I can’t quite describe. It has served me well I think. I know there are countless of us “edgy non-conformers” here – and this piece is for US! I’m a huge Robert Frost fan – so I felt his poem “The Road Less Traveled” really fit this piece. Claudia “The Road Less Traveled” by Robert Frost Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, / And sorry I could not travel both / And be one traveller, long I stood / And looked down one as far as I could / To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, / And having perhaps the better claim, / Because it was grassy and wanted wear; / Though as for that the passing there / Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay / In leaves no step had trodden black. / Oh, I kept the first for another day! / Yet knowing how way leads on to way, / I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh / Somewhere ages and ages hence: / Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— / I took the one less traveled by, / And that has made all the difference ...Robert Frost

  • I often think about how I came here naked and pretty beat up. My life was not working. Through Art I got a sense of feeling again I connected to my Source aka.. Nipple.. (tehee) / When I connected to Source, I was able to reach out and allow others back into my world again thus I created or Allowed … Community. RB Community is practice all the time for me to go outside my door and become more, become a part of my world around me. Sometimes I feel being here is like proving grounds; that if I can do it here, connect and love, I can do this feeling and knowing …anywhere. I sure do love you. / Linaji / 2009 Mandala’s Nipple /
