First Artwork I have done for quite a while, hope you like it :-) “There is a Native American legend that says, ” If you have a secret wish, capture a butterfly and whisper your wish to it. Since butterflies cannot speak, your secret is ever safe in their keeping. Release the butterfly, and it will carry your wish to the Great Spirit, who alone knows the thoughts of butterflies. By setting the butterfly free, you are helping to restore the balance of nature, and your wish will surely be granted.” The butterfly is a powerful symbol for transformation. It leaves the safety of the cocoon in it’s new form. This is an excellent image for anyone contemplating, or in the midst of a major change. A butterfly is a strong symbol of metamorphosis, with distinct stages. The butterfly is a reminder to make changes when the opportunity arises. Change and transformation are inevitable for us all, but it does not have to be traumatic.Butterfly symbolism is also closely tied to the idea of spirits and souls. It has been used in many religions and cultures. Psyche is the Greek word for both soul and butterfly. The belief was that butterflies were human souls searching for a new reincarnation, which gave the creature uncanny and sometimes ominous connotations. This symbolism was also used in early Christianity as a symbol of the soul. Celts thought that women became pregnant by swallowing butterfly souls. These butterfly-souls flew about seeking a new mother.” info from http://kc.8m.com/bflysym.html

eirian-stock.deviantart.com / kittd-stock.deviantart.com Dedicated to Susan Boyle There was a time when men were kind, / And their voices were soft, / And their words inviting. / There was a time when love was blind, / And the world was a song, / And the song was exciting. / There was a time when it all went wrong… I dreamed a dream in time gone by, / When hope was high and life, worth living. / I dreamed that love would never die, / I dreamed that God would be forgiving. / Then I was young and unafraid, / And dreams were made and used and wasted. / There was no ransom to be paid, / No song unsung, no wine, untasted. But the tigers come at night, / With their voices soft as thunder, / As they tear your hope apart, / And they turn your dream to shame. He slept a summer by my side, / He filled my days with endless wonder… / He took my childhood in his stride, / But he was gone when autumn came! And still I dream he’ll come to me, / That we will live the years together, / But there are dreams that cannot be, / And there are storms we cannot weather! I had a dream my life would be / So different from this hell I’m living, / So different now from what it seemed… / Now life has killed the dream I dreamed…

The Polititions think that we need a new soccer stadium instead of a good animal shelter. Poor animals are starving and dying, but thank god, we have a new soccer stadium. / Help me to help those poor animals. Thank you very much.

Happy Mothers Day! I was woken early this morning by my son tapping at the front door, his new kitten in one hand….....and a grocery bag full of goodies for breakfast in the other…... / He cooked bacon and eggs, made coffee, gave me my presents then let me take photos of his kitten. The only way to get ‘Cookie’ to calm down was to place him on my son’s back…. / The result was….. they both fell sound asleep (my son works nights) on the floor. / It was the best morning, I love him with all of my heart :) / What a Wonderful World Louis Armstrong What A Wonderful World I see trees of green, red roses too / I see ‘em bloom for me and you / And I think to myself, what a wonderful world I see skies of blue, clouds of white / The bright blessed days, and dark sacred nights / And I think to myself, what a wonderful world The colors of the rainbow / Are so pretty in the sky / It’s also on the faces / Of people goin’ by / I see friends shakin’ hands / Sayin’, “How do you do?” / They’re really sayin’, “I love you.” I hear babies cry, and I watch ‘em grow / They’ll learn much more than I’ll ever know / And I think to myself, what a wonderful world / I think to myself, what a wonderful world

...cause tomorrow is remembrance day. In Flanders Fields In Flanders fields the poppies blow / Between the crosses, row on row, / That mark our place; and in the sky / The larks, still bravely singing, fly / Scarce heard amid the guns below. / We are the dead. Short days ago / We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, / Loved, and were loved, and now we lie / In Flanders fields. / Take up our quarrel with the foe: / To you from failing hands we throw / The torch; be yours to hold it high. / If ye break faith with us who die / We shall not sleep, though poppies grow / In Flanders fields. — Lt.-Col. John McCrae
