Still life photograph of little flower and stacked stones set on an incense tray. Mixed media print on gouache stained and acrylic and Inkaid primed Japanese Kinwashi paper. Red ink stamped Chinese characters mean: Study, Dream, and Love. 11” x 17”. The original file was shot with a Lensbaby. The image was printed on Urara paper then scanned. That file was printed onto the altered Kinwashi substrate.

I would describe life in the same way I do myself…. a mess… but a BEAUTIFUL one!!! ...These latest pieces would not have been brought to life without the inspiration of my BEST friend. Sometimes Angels fall--hard upon the jagged shards of man-tattered wings of abuses here-shattered pieces, justly pricking feet of the guilty-smeared delicate hues-patterns interrupted by soul-holes torn-departure-far too soon-alone-words unspoken-screaming us awake!-from tender slumber encounters-wrapped in offence’s rubble-questions haunting-slanders taunting-souls left wanting-Oh, to feel her touch again-to bury my face, in her golden gardenia locks-to fill both lungs, and soul with her sacred scent-never exhale it out again-to see her, see me-to kiss her pillows of softest pink, just once more—sometimes Angels fall. / DC
