This photo was taken on a trip down to Inverloch beach (Victoria, Australia)... on that day the sea and air were so quiet we were like standing still in time… Thank you so much for the plethora of comments everyone, I am glad this has touched so many people :) All proceeds from this image are donated in memory of my little boy Noah to the / Fanconi Anemia Research Fund. / Fanconi Anaemia (FA) is a rare inherited (genetic) disease, leading to progressive bone marrow failure, chromosome fragility and high cancer susceptibility. I had this pain bottled up in me so so long… but I knew and hoped with time passing things will change and turn out good… I was right, things started to unfold last week and I could just see and feel it. Working with this wonderful model just inspired me and brought all those feelings up from my heart, bones and my most inner part. Acrylic On Canvas A piece that was inspired about watching Wong Kar Wai’s film In The Mood For Love, set in 60s Hong Kong. A story about forbidden love and in the story, the female and male leads shared some special moments in room 2046 – writing martial novels :D The chinese title of this movie is Hua Yang Nian Hua. The Chinese title, Huayang Nianhua (translated in the subtitles as “Full Bloom” but more accurately meaning “those wonderful varied years”), is more suggestive of period nostalgia and the Shanghai association, pointing to an iridescent, kaleidoscopic age of bygone elegance and diversity. / You can view and purchase my other “Hua Yang Nian Hua” creations from my Zazzle Gallery: / /

Faded Memories Image of three old friends enjoying their holiday together on the Isle of Pines, New Caledonia. I was on holiday with my two closest girlfriends and this reminded me of us in years to come on our regular getaways (older versions of course lol). / My own texture layer used (back of a really old photograph on top of an old envelope with the stamping on it.) A loverly little poem by an unknown author. I have added it to a photoshopped pic of my Newman…so fitting… Newman was a staffy x red heeler. I lost him earlier this month (october 2009) God’s dog poem When God had made the Earth / and the sky, the flowers and the trees, / He then made all the animals / and all the birds and bees. / / And when his work was finished, / not one was quite the same. / He said,’I’ll walk this earth of / mine and give each one a name.’ And so he travelled land and / sea and everywhere he went, / One little creature followed him / Until its strength was spent.
