This work has several of my omnipresent LOVEBIRDS in connection with their international ’’owners’’. The lovebird is primarily symbolic of the SOUL with its ability to take flight…In this painting it relates to my idea of an international day of celebrating the lovebird & our own souls….How great to remember that we are spiritual beings in a physical body ! These two pretty Australian Rainbow Lorikeets were sitting in my neighbours Jacaranda tree, three houses down from me in Balgownie, Wollongong,NSW, Australia. I tried to get the shot from my balcony with my telephoto lens but I didn’t have my tripod handy and it was very hard to hold the lens still. I was still very happy with the shot and decided not to crop it because the purple tree was so pretty. I think the effect was O.K. / Taken with my Canon 40 DSLR, Telephoto lens, thanks for visiting / Shutter speed 1/125 / F Stop 5.6 / Focal length 363mm / ISO 400
