I’ve been feeling pretty crappy lately, but on the plus side it seems to be making me borderline prolific, at least by my standards. I suppose it is as they say: contentment is the enemy of invention. Anyway, the idea for this piece sprang from something I said to someone earlier — indeed it was essentially the same as the last line. The cage imagery was a natural extension upon that, and things just built from there.
