The fact that I am an unbelievably flawed Christian, along with the fact that I’m so ambivalent and unsure about my sexuality, made this a poem that took quite a bit of time for me to write. I really had to slowly digest and chew on my somewhat limited knowledge about sex (I promise you, I’m not holding my head high right now), and figure out what exactly lovemaking was meant to be. I was also inspired by Ishle Park’s poem entitled Pussy when writing this. As entertaining as it was, it kind of annoyed me that she wrote a poem about sex that was completely focused on people’s private parts, when sex is so much more than that. So in this poem of mine, I made a conscious decision to not mention “penis” or “pussy” at all, and give a chance for the rest of the human body to be the star of the show. To heck with restricting the term “sex organ” to the area between your legs, guys – your entire body is a sex organ, and you’ll do good to remember that!

We all have artists on our watchlist that we think are wonderful, but who may not get the recognition they deserve or their work just gets passed by in the influx of daily work here on Redbubble. I would like to form a journal entry here that serves the purpose of bringing awareness and traffic to these underappreciated artists, so my proposal is that anyone who wished to come into this journal and post 1 or 2 links to artists on their watchlists whom they absolutely adore. This idea was originally begun by JULIE LANGFORD so please be sure to visit her journal HERE too for more amazing work! Also feel free to link to their images as well, and try not to repeat the same artists as have already been mentioned and promoted. This way we can get the word out about so many of these tremendous hidden talents here at Redbubble. I have two artists I would now like to introduce to you that I have on my watchlist: David Linkenauger and Shelley Spillenaar David is one of my fellow home state photographers and takes really nice waterscape images, and Shelley in my mmind has a wonderful eye and a keen sense of capturing the right moment with animals. Please go take a look at the wonderful work of these two artists, and if you like what you see be sure to tell them so and maybe even add them to your watchlist! Our Book is Published!!!!!

Karin’s storefront iAN’s storefront This has been an amazing experience to be a part of….an enormous thank you to Matt Mawson who has tirelessly and generously worked over the past 2 days to bring this little book into being….. I could never have done it without you Matt! And of course a huge thank you to the amazing writer and friend of mine, one of those great Aussie characters that just keeps on keeping on, keeps on getting better with age…. that is iAN Derrick I first met iAN through a journal Matt wrote about one of iAN’s books, and since that day, we sorta hit it off….. I talked to iAN about my father and he also was inspired to write another short story called Understanding Harry and correct me if i’m wrong, but i think he may have been inspired to write a story that reflected some of the goings on with Matt’s four legged friend also. One day I got an email from the amazing iAN, saying although he thought my father should be the one to tell and publish his own stories, he’d had a little idea and brought it to life in Understanding Harry and not long after this i received a second email saying that he’d done it again, but i would have to wait til the morning when he loaded the story to red bubble, and he and I and hubby all savoured the moment….....waiting with baited breath, until upon waking in the morning two days ago, I was thrilled to discover this wonderful story had been written. A story about my characters…involved a certain Mrs T….but i will tell you no more, as it’s a must read…and you can read it over here She Sells Sea Cards by the Sea Shore Thank you iAN and Thank you Matt i am eternally grateful

Ani l’dodi vdodi li – I am my Beloved’s and Beloved is mine. This image is deeply symbolic to me as it represents my relationship with Yeshua. He is my Beloved, i love Him passionately and i am His. He loves me like no man ever could, deep in my inner being where soul and spirit meet. This golden ring is the symbol of the never ending love He has for me with the words from Song of Songs written through the center. These words are taken from the love letter He wrote to me and were forged in the winepress of death. He holds my soul in His hand and protects it from the harshness of this world. I wish you too could feel His Passion and oh if you could just smell His garments you’re heart would melt. His eyes are like pools of water and my heart leaps to hear His footsteps. His shoulders are broad and His heartbeat steady as i lay my head on His Breast and smell the clothing steeped in His scent. His words are whispers, heavy with love and i desire Him. The soft gentle light forces the darkness away and ushers in the silence filled with anticipation. His lips brush against mine, His mouth tastes sweet and i am consumed with passion for Him.
