Can you feel it? Love and care… I have taken this photograph because I’ve seen a lovely picture of love and care before my eyes… / Two years later I went back to the negative, scanned it (with love and care, of course; here I mean taking care for properly balanced lights and shadows above all, with no important details lost, because the photograph was taken in a room with poor light), made some minor corrections (color curves, desaturated, toned…) and added a frame with text. This is Lola. She’s my friend Kate’s new French Bulldog puppy. I’ve ALWAYS adored this breed and Lola does the breed proud. She’s so amazingly smart, and in my opinion, drop dead gorgeous!

I have a friend, Brenda, who told me that she sends thoughts of love to all the little creatures around her and she’s certain they respond with trust. I thought of Brenda as I was taking this photo of this female bluebird and I whispered to the tiny mite, “I love you, and I’m so happy you’re part of my world.” I’d like to dedicate this image to Brenda who has such great love for God’s tiniest and most vulnerable creatures and who has a special love for the unborn. I was shooting a wedding on Saturday, the couple is in their early sixtie’s. It was beautiful to see that lady’s eyes shine with such deep love for the slightly balding man…. I happened to look down at the center aisle of this church, which had been bare, just a half hour ago. Now, there were rose petals scattered from the front to the back of the church…..in the dim lights from the overheads, I took a few images, hoping one of them would be suitable for a message….. In my romantic heart, there is always room to give love. To my friends, to people around the world, the most basic of emotional needs is to be loved. If you don’t feel love, know that God, through me, or lots of other loving people on this site, loves you….as do I. If there were ever a time when people needed love…it is today. Pure, sweet, tender. Brother to sister, friend to friend.
