yes, part of the art deco series-I was in pattern mode. Pink, pattern and envelope yellow-all part of my ‘complement people’s interior living’ series. I was seriously into interior decorating- if only I’d got this out when grandma chic was in! Maybe it’s still retro enough to look good in your house! I could change the colours to be more art noveau. up to you….

I don’t think there is any other flower like a Rose, that can say so much with so little….and with that I will let the photo itself speak….
Sometimes my mandalas are so deceptively simple… sometimes I spend hours with the initial design thinking, “Is that all it is? Surely there should be something else in it?” and finding that it is complete as it is. So it was with this one. I woke with dragons in my head and ended up with this. Unfortunately you can’t experience the painting in 3 dimensions so you’ll have to take my word for it LOL! At the centre, the heart, a faceted gem of rose quartz. Around it swirl the spiral arms of the Milky Way Galaxy. It is, in turn, encircled by a turquoise and opal circle border. The dragons sit above and below, encircling with their wings, protecting with their power, guarding with their magic, the heart of love that is our existence. The galaxy, the encircling border and the background are liberally encrusted with holographic glitters – the picture sits and shimmers on dimensional levels. Love is all there is… Enjoy! I see these shiny stones on rings / On bracelets, pendants, other things / And jeweler’s promise, love it brings / Like angels on bejeweled wings / / I listen to the jeweler’s drone / About these trinkets he has shown / And realize that love is grown / Not bought with trinket’s shiny stone / / While all his trinkets he does shove / With promised passion, love thereof / I shake my head, know that’s not love / Not jeweled angels, but peaceful dove / / Not shiny stone, that’s love’s disguise / The twinkle she wants lies in my eyes / True love my gift, not jeweled lies / Her stone my heart, her love replies / / This fractal artwork was inspired by first hearing that old phrase that ‘Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend’, which then brought to mind how society preaches that love is something that can be bought or given a monetary value. This is such a sad, sad concept. / / I am so grateful that I have a real woman that places more value in my warm embrace, or subtle private joke that makes her laugh, than anything material I could ever give her. She knows I would give my life for her in a heartbeat, and treasures that gift far above any hard, lifeless rock. The only diamond my wife cares about is the one on her finger, because it symbolizes the day I gave my mind, body, soul, and heart to her forever. Don’t get me wrong, as I do buy my wife jewelry, such as the small, graceful, yet modest Black Hills Gold pendent of a heart I got her recently for her birthday, because I knew she really liked it. That is the point. It is the warmth that comes to her from knowing that I listened to her, and remembered those things she told me that is the real gift… not the dollar value of that gift. As for myself, my wife is my diamond, as she makes each day I live sparkle :) / / This was created in ChaosPro. The original is 4800×4800 pixels at 300 pixels per inch. The gradient was created in the ChaosPro gradient editor that comes bundled with ChaosPro. This artwork is difficult to see over the internet, so I have included a couple of / detail cutaways below to better give a feeling for the artwork. / / / / / /

In Berlin Mitte (Germany)... The Fernsehturm (German for “television tower”) is a television tower in the city centre of Berlin, Germany. This well-known landmark, close to Alexanderplatz, was constructed between 1965 and 1969 by the former German Democratic Republic (GDR). The GDR administration intended it as a symbol of Berlin, which it remains today, as it is easily visible throughout the central and some suburban districts of Berlin. The original total height of the tower was 365 metres (1198 feet), but it rose to 368 m (1207 ft) after the installation of a new antenna in the 1990s. The Fernsehturm is the fourth tallest freestanding structure in Europe, after Moscow’s Ostankino Tower, the Kiev TV Tower and the Riga Radio and TV Tower. There is a visitor platform and a rotating restaurant in the middle of the sphere. The visitor platform is at a height of about 204 m (669 ft) above the ground and visibility can reach 42 km (26 miles) on a clear day. The restaurant, which rotates once every 30 minutes, is a few metres above the visitors platform (originally it turned once per hour; the speed was later doubled following the tower’s late 1990s renovation). Inside the shaft are two lifts that shuttle visitors up to the sphere of the tower within 40 seconds.

To the Babylonians, Phoenicians, and Assyrians, it was honoured as a symbol of fertility. 2. In Native American tradition, the fish is a symbol for mystical secrets, for it can swim to the deepest regions of the ocean and explore its hidden knowledge. 3. In British lore, it was believed that eating fish before lovemaking could enable a couple to conceive a child. 4. The early Christians used the fish as the symbol for the Christ Consciousness. It was widely believed that this symbol resulted from the Greek acronym for \”Jesus Christ, Son of God.\” But there is also the fact that the coming of Jesus ushered in the Age of Pisces the Fish, which encapsulates the mysticism, love, and happiness to which all world traditions ascribe to the fish. 5. In Scandinavia, fish was considered an aphrodisiac, and was popularly consumed on Friday, the feast day of Freya, Goddess of Love – and in her honour Friday was a day dedicated to lovemaking. There are, therefore, many possibilities if you dream of a fish – all good, even if the fish was a greatly feared one like the Shark [a powerful Hawaiian Aumakua]. If there is a possibility of a pregnancy, dreaming of a fish could mean that a child is on the way, and the pregnancy and birth will be uneventful and result in a healthy baby. If the dreamer is in love but is not yet sure about the beloved’s feelings, dreaming of a fish strongly indicates that the feelings are indeed reciprocated. Dreaming of catching fish, either with a pole or with a net, indicates success and prosperity ahead. Seeing fish swimming in a clear pool indicates that a number of secrets about yourself and the world around you are going to suddenly become clearer.” Information Source from MSN Free Dream Dicitonary Astrocenter Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi

The Taj Mahal (pronounced /tɑdʒ məˈhɑl/; Hindi: ताज महल; Persian/Urdu: تاج محل) is a mausoleum located in Agra, India, built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal (also “the Taj”) is considered the finest example of Mughal architecture, a style that combines elements from Persian, Indian, and Islamic architectural styles. In 1983, the Taj Mahal became a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was cited as “the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world’s heritage.” While the white domed marble mausoleum is its most familiar component, the Taj Mahal is actually an integrated complex of structures. Building began around 1632 and was completed around 1653, and employed thousands of artisans and craftsmen.[3] The construction of the Taj Mahal was entrusted to a board of architects under imperial supervision including Abd ul-Karim Ma’mur Khan, Makramat Khan, and Ustad Ahmad Lahauri.4 Lahauri is generally considered to be the principal designer.

This is a blending of a portrait I took of Warrick and Jamie, an image of a hawk which Jamie took at Warwick Castle, a self-portrait, and layers of both my texture and Jamie’s. I wasn’t going to post it, thinking maybe other people wouldn’t get as much out of it as I had…but, I kept opening it up and looking at it and decided I do want to share it. —- When I opened up that original photo in photoshop, I knew it was destined for a manipulation, but I didn’t know exactly what to do with it…and, as I say, I figured it would just be something for us. I ended up doing two manips, this and another one. The first one was fine, but it wasn’t…right, if you know what I mean. So, I started all over again, changing the self-portrait I had used in the other one, and adding the soaring hawk to symbolize the soaring of a heart filled to overflowing. Now I feel that it isn’t just a nice family image for us; now it has a father reach. When I took the photo of The Beautiful Man and Beautiful Boy, I was so filled with joy at seeing father and son enjoying one another… I was observing – and capturing – such a truly beautiful and infinitely precious moment….and that moment, that preciousness, is what I want this to not merely convey, but imprint upon the viewer, and mark you indelibly.
