Heart Built on Tears These are individually placed waterdrops on a CD. The colors come from how the light is refracted on the surface. It’s really easy to arrange shapes since you can just drag the drop with any sharp object and it will stay perfectly spherical and not loose any water :) So this is a bit feminine, but boo double standards :) / These are the descriptions I give on dA —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / Location: Portland, OR / Date: August 30th, 2008 / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- Camera: Canon Digital Rebel XSi (450D) / Lens: Canon Macro Lens EF-s 60mm f/2.8 / Focal Length: 60 mm / Flash: Built-In Shutter Speed: 1/60 sec / Aperture: 2.8 / ISO: 400 / — MY PHOTOGRAPHS ARE COPYRIGHTED AND NOT FOR USE OF STOCK, CANNOT BE REDISTRIBUTE, EDITED, AND/OR COPIED WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. Oil Pastel And Acrylic (With minor digital enhancements) Here’s Ophelia all dressed up for a party that she’s hosting! A party that celebrates all that life has to offer, both the good and not so good :D She’s wearing her new flower feather clips and a ribbon belt to adorn her waist. All who read this will be invited! A belief that Life is to be celebrated, not just the ups but the downs too. It is easier to give thanks and rejoice when things go well for us but can we still do the same when things dont turn out the way we want them to? In dry or in bountiful times, I keep reminding myself to count my blessings…to adopt the mindset of abundance and not of scacity. In fact, everyday can be a celebration of life…just take a few moments..and you will find that you are “richer” than you think you are :D You can view and buy my other “Celebration Of Life” products at my Zazzle Gallery:

Acrylic On Canvas A piece that was inspired about watching Wong Kar Wai’s film In The Mood For Love, set in 60s Hong Kong. A story about forbidden love and in the story, the female and male leads shared some special moments in room 2046 – writing martial novels :D The chinese title of this movie is Hua Yang Nian Hua. The Chinese title, Huayang Nianhua (translated in the subtitles as “Full Bloom” but more accurately meaning “those wonderful varied years”), is more suggestive of period nostalgia and the Shanghai association, pointing to an iridescent, kaleidoscopic age of bygone elegance and diversity. / You can view and purchase my other “Hua Yang Nian Hua” creations from my Zazzle Gallery: / /
