I’ve been listening to George Carlin a bit lately and he sent me on a thinking tangent about oxymorons (and morons in general!) they say ‘All is fair in love and war’... there are no rules, no boundaries. A proverb that lets the ‘what i/us/we want is more important than how this might effect you/them’ sort of people nicely off the hook. (in their minds anyway, the rest of us know this is utter bullshit.) Anyway, fairness is not the only casualty in love and war, people {real living breathing people with hopes and plans} are. The irony for me is that love and war — two opposing forces — occur in the same proverb and as a perfectly understandable reason for doing whatever you bloody like. An absence of LOVE is how the WAR gets in. on a personal note: tomorrow my partner & I celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. here’s to LOVE : )

San Francisco January 20th 2009.. Civic Center.. Outside Big Screens.. / Political Officials and Each Other! I thought this man was beautiful.. alone and full of stoic silence.. he exuded a sense of peace somehow for me.. I was squashed in a corner but squashed in Love and friendship.. I could not move too far to get too many shots while he was sworn in.. I should have bought a box to stand on and I am 5’9!! But I got a few good shots and was with fellow Americans who cheered and booed.. (when guess whos appreared.. B and C !!) and was full of the Spirit of our country … The United States of America with emphasis on the United part!! Enjoy friends…. and you were all with me.. I saw everyone’s comments on my Iphone!!! / You sure are a wonderful family!

I could not keep my eyes off of her.. swoon.. she was absolutely gorgeous.. / I love beautiful women and If I had to do it all over again I would really learn photography and shoot women.. they really are beautiful subjects!! and I mean all kinds.. young old.. master lighting and studio work of which I know nothing about.. but still willing to learn someday.. maybe.. tee hee.. A reimagined piece from “awakening” and my final painting for the upcoming art show. Not really sure the size of the cabinet door but if you could have only seen how stressed I was trying to come up with a color scheme for this one. Take a step into my mind and see what meaning this conjured up: With everything that has surrounded me in the past couple months, the stress of class, unknown depression, and just the inability to be happy, the one thing that has kept me breathing is my love, but more importantly the love given to me which has kept my body warm. I don’t think I need to spell it out to ya now with my color choices. So…um…enjoy
