This photo was taken on a trip down to Inverloch beach (Victoria, Australia)... on that day the sea and air were so quiet we were like standing still in time… Thank you so much for the plethora of comments everyone, I am glad this has touched so many people :) All proceeds from this image are donated in memory of my little boy Noah to the / Fanconi Anemia Research Fund. / Fanconi Anaemia (FA) is a rare inherited (genetic) disease, leading to progressive bone marrow failure, chromosome fragility and high cancer susceptibility. Cast light and careful shadows. It took 4 different shoots with the same concept to get the image that I wanted, but I think it was well worth it. Canon Rebel XT w/ 18-55mm kit lens.

This was the best day of our Artic trip, we were so lucky to spend hours with this polar bear mum and cubs (there were actually two cubs but the other is out of shot). WILD & FREE / / Polar bear cubs cuddle-up with each other on an ice floe. What a great sight to see! The sea ice is shrinking at an alarming rate, which has a huge impact for the bears as this is their main hunting ground. More and more bears are being found to have drowned while trying to find the ice, even though they can swim up to sixty miles or so! / / I hope the ice does not completely vanish and that they always have somewhere to hut! (Spitsbergen – Scandinavian Arctic) / /

The sunlight through the petals and leaves looked lovely against the backdrop of the snow outside. Our short days make sunshine seem all the more precious, even indoors.
