A misty morning blended with an image by Marcus Ranum in CS3. The lady’s forlorn demeanor and “all dressed up with nowhere to go” image made me think of Karen Carpenter’s song “Looking for Love…” / Though people say love is everywhere, / I’m looking for love, but it’s just not there For those interested, the background image was processed, the figure placed (which automatically gives a second layer) and blended using the opacity slider, “blend if” options in the blending mode, and erase tool. A shadow was produced with the burn tool, and light controlled on the figure with dodge, burn, and a white brush at about 5%. The blur tool was also used around any hard edges to help the figure blend into the b/g and not appear sharp and ‘dropped in’. Most of these actions were done on separate layers in order to be able to switch them on and off individually and ensure the correct effect was achieved. It also prevents ruining the whole image – if something doesn’t work, just delete that particular layer! My Bubblesite also shows works in categories. Upper Yosemite Fall as seen from across one of the meadows in early spring. Yosemite National Park, California, is perhaps the world’s best known example of a glacier-carved canyon. Yosemite’s giant waterfalls, towering cliffs, rounded domes, and massive monoliths make it a natural marvel and one of the most visited places on Earth. Yosemite National Park is located in California’s Eastern Sierras. It is comprised of Yosemite Valley, Tuolumne Meadows, Glacier Point, and other high country wilderness areas. One of the main attractions of Yosemite are its majestic waterfalls. The main falls are Yosemite, Bridalveil, Vernal, Nevada, and Illilouette. The best time to visit the falls is in May since the water is gushing. Bridalveil usually has a neat rainbow in the afternoon.

Seeing this beautiful tree embracing these delicate flowers touched my heart….it is as if the tree is saying, ‘I will shelter you and hold you up as you grow and you can share my space…..we will grow together’....and the flowers have taken the shape of a heart….returning the love….. Imagine a world where we all give forth that kind of compassion and caring for our fellow beings…..what a wonderful world…... Taken in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado.

Have searched websites trying to find the correct name for this flower – it is not a Clematis, it is not a Scabiosa – all suggestions welcome!! A bit of experimentation in CS3 led to this result. Peacocks that live at a local park here in Glendale, AZ. They were extremely entertaining to watch! Just as it looked like they were gonna be all lovey-dovey they started pecking at each other’s faces & running away! Alrighty then!!!! LOL Can’t say the thought’s never crossed my mind before ~ ha ha ha ~ just kidding? They follow us around the park, they’re very curious! =)
