  • One of my piece of art. This is a snow carving that I made myself in February 2006. It was at the Yukon Sourdough Rendez-vous. She was about 7 feet high to give you an idea. / / It took me 26 hours of consecutive work (no sleep) with a few breaks along the way to warm my toes up… (it was pretty near -40 degrees Celscius below that night. But I was dressed pretty well.) I called her Into The Light because I finished sculpting her when the sun came and shined on her from above the building that was standing in front of her. It was 12(noon) at the time.. I had started to carve her the day before at 10 am. She has her hands open to the sky, for she is as ready to give herself, as ready to receive from the creator.

Actually, who are you not to be? / You are a child of God. / Your playing small does not serve the world. / There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. / We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. / It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. / And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. / As we are liberated from our own fear, / our presence automatically liberates others.” by Marrianne Williamson ~ excerpts from Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles. I use only my own images to create composites, matrix panoramic images and digital art, therefore I own full copyrights on all my work. This is one of my favourites. • The idea of sacred space has been one of the foundations of Native American philosophy throughout time. We see all life-forms as having their own life cycles, from the Stone (rock) people, to a Cloud person, or to a Standing (tree) person ~ they all have a space that deserves respect. Every creature being has its own territory and respects the territory of other animals. Two-leggeds (humans) also have a personal space that, if respected, becomes Sacred Space. This Mandala was created to represent ‘Sacred Space’ on the Blue Road to Spirit… teepees (home/shelter) in the cardinal directions: White/North; Yellow/East; Red/South; and Black/West (also symbolic of the 4 races). Day skies & Night skies, cloud people, thunder/lightening beings, standing people, mountains, sun and moon. Arrows of respectful friendship and feathers for the gift of respect. Sketch was photographed and painted, edited and filtered in Redfield Plug-in Fractilius, in photoshop7. • Love, your magic spell is everywhere / Love, I know you well and found you fair / Then you left me and my life’s at fate / Now I ask is it too late… Love your melody is in the air / Yet I call you and you are not there / Come here is my heart, my soul to mate / Make me forget the voice that whispers “wait”… Best to listen by Peggy Lee Rishikesh upon Ganga, North India

  • Photographed at Cape Kidnappers, New Zealand The Australasian gannet (takapu) are usually found in large colonies on offshore island around New Zealand and southern Australia and have been nesting at Cape Kidnappers since the 1870s. Numbers have steadily increased to 6,500 pairs, which makes it the largest and most accessible mainland colony in the world. The gannets average lifespan of between 25 to 40 years has a remarkable start. The 16 week old chicks, which have never been airborne before, take on a 2,800 kilometre Tasman Sea crossing. Two to three years later, the young birds return from Australia to undertake tentative mating. However, it is not until they are five years old that they nest in earnest, after which most spend their life around the coastal New Zealand seas

  • Watercolor, ink, paper “Awake, north wind, and come, south wind! Blow on my garden, that its fragrance may spread abroad. Let my lover come into his garden and taste its choice fruits.” / (Songs 4:16) It is difficult for the Soul to lose the height of comfort reached, even though all her sacrifices are like tiny beads slipping through her fingers in comparison with the divine reward of His love. The good works the Soul does for Him are not what delights God, but her herself when she remains in Him. The Bride answers to her Beloved: “Whatever wind is blowing: dry north, burning my garden, or gentle south breeze, whatever hardships enter my life, I say – Come, my Beloved, the garden belongs to You only. I will follow You wherever You call me. Let my life be like a table generously laid for You and Your friends.”

  • This little bridge is known as Beggars Bridge built for the love of a young lady and social status is at the edge of a hidden village of Glaisdale in the heart of the Yorkshire Moors, in North Yorkshire. This wonderful little bridge over the River Esk is a delight to look at, but with the train bridge behind and newer road bridge running along side, it is really difficult bridge to photograph. With Limber Hill leading down into it, have the brakes serviced before visiting or take the train to the station just around the corner. Converted into black and white

  • Be inspired all year by beautiful images of New Zealand

  • This is the delightfully named Beggar’s Bridge on the outskirts of Glaisdale in North Yorkshire in the North York Moors National Park, crossing the River Esk. Built for love, the contrasting shadow and light across the bridge, provides a wonderful metaphor for the path of life and love. Converted into pinhole black and white

  • This is the view from the new road bridge into Glaisdale in North Yorkshire towards the Beggar’s Bridge and the River Esk and it’s valley beyond. Built for love, the reflection and light/shadows dance in loves returning path of being. Shot in the North York Moors National Park

  • This is another view of Beggar’s Bridge at Glaisdale in North Yorkshire as it crosses the River Esk. In this one you get a sense of how wooded this valley is at this point. Both the bridge and the pub just up the hill are well worth the visit and a good place for train spotters as well, though a word of warning, there are a lot of steep slopes around here. The Arncliffe Arms also have a nice collection of vintage photographs of this bridge, including it collapsing under the weight of an old cart Shot in the North York national park. Converted into pinhole black and white and best viewed large The coloured version posted for Mr Smith can be found Here

  • Beggar’s Bridge crossing the River Esk in the North York National park. This is the colour version of this black and white one Posted just for the site Water god and long may he fill our streams, becks and lakes with his gift ;)
