  • I’ve always loved Margaret Widdemer’s poem, “The Watcher.” I’ve coupled it with an image I took of a steeple of a very old church in Houston, Texas. I hope that those who have suffered the loss of a mother will find comfort in this photo. My mother is still alive and I am grateful for her; I created this image for those whose mothers are no longer with them and who suffer loneliness, especially during the holidays and on birthdays and anniversaries of death.

  • A mother lowland gorilla provides safety and security for her youngster at all times of the day and night. Here she is at Bristol Zoo gazing into the moat surrounding their habitat. What a comfort it is to be able to cling to your mummy like that… Taken with Nikon D50 using 70-300mm lens

  • Cody Redmon Interesting concept – great application. I, too, see the impression of water/waves in this one, but I see something else too. I’m surprised no one else has mentioned it, but to me it appears as though a woman is laying in deep blue water with an outstretched arm, legs extended, one slightly behind the other, lounging on the face of a cresting wave. This is one crazy simple brilliant deep photo, really nice work Rosina. taken in merimbula nsw
