Another not entirely right panorama from a camera my father made. Using these little cameras were a bit of a trick at times but the results were so various and mad that I love them. There are only five in this series. Below is a thumbnail of some Dad’s camera’s His camera always produced much better photo ’s technically than mine but I maintain that the mistakes I made with mine made for a more interesting image :)

My dog River and I drove for hours deep into Mont-Laurier before dawn. In the deep freezing snow, we waited, waited, and then waited some more for the sun to come up. Finally the sky turned blue and the cardinals came to our “photo appointment” as “scheduled”. :) One cannot say we (as in River, my dog, and I) are not dedicated and passionate about meeting our cardinals. :) I thought after all that waiting in the frozen snow, it is only fitting that I donate the proceeds on behalf of the beautiful cardinals to preserve nature, so we can all meet up with them again in the future! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada

This beautiful and much loved puppy was having morning tea at Urban Grind coffee shop with his ‘mum’ Alois, so I asked if I could take some photos. both his ‘parents’ and I are thrilled with the results. They have also given me permission to upload these photos, provided I share my ‘millions’ in profits with them. I think that is fair! I hope they enjoy these photos as much as I do. Thank you Alois and Noel! / I edited the background in photoshop to enhance the portrait. I used the smudge tool, reduced to 1 pixel and with the photo enlarged up to 200% to flick the hairs out on the sides of his ears, face and neck so that it didn’t have the sharp cut off edge that is usual with a background removal. taken with my canon 40DSLR macro lens on a manual settingff edge that is usual with a background removal. taken with my canon 40DSLR macro lens on a manual setting / fstop 5.6 / exposure 1/200 sec / focal length 100mm / Automatic white balance

Photo taken on an early morning walk in July, 2009 near my home in Jackson, Wyoming. Clean fresh air, still cool, filled me with such hope and joy that morning….. I see this image now and remember the peaceful, new day and I know, all is well. As I was posting this photograph, this song came to mind I hope you enjoy it and it brings a smile to you today.
