Water Tiger 1962 The Water Tiger is a soothing and tranquil breed. Unlike most Tigers they have the ability to consider feelings and ideas from other people. This empathy makes them quite sensible and understanding. Fire Tigers are also born with a great intuitive power. They have excellent judgment and make accurate assessments of most situations. This Tiger is a bit indecisive, compared to other cats. It stems from their habit of watching and waiting before leaping. Water Tigers need to guard against excessive sleeping or daydreaming. This passive behavior will prohibit them from achieving the goals they initially set out to accomplish. No doubt about it Tigers are incredibly sexy people, beautiful and sensually romantic. Creative and spontaneous lovers they never lose their creative spark or flare for an evening of passion. Their partner is always exposed to a hint of danger and the curiosity of the unknown. A Tiger once committed will want to dominate and lead you. This natural nurturing mechanism if left unchecked will lead to complete control. Tigers love excitement and require a partner who can keep up with all they want to see and do. Tigers are unpredictable and it is fatal to underestimate their reactions. Even when appearing calm they may pounce without a moment’s warning. Always natural leaders, they have a strong sense of their own dignity, and when finding themselves members of the rank and file they can be stubborn and obstinate. In positions of power they are difficult though stimulating bosses. Tigers are intelligent, alert, and farsighted. Formidable enemies they are good strategists and tacticians always with a hidden agenda. Their only apparent weakness is they can risk their luck too often, and have great difficulty keeping their restless nature under control. More often than not their tactics pay off in life. The Chinese name for the Tiger is HU, the sign of courage. February is the month of the Tiger and as such the Western astrological counterpart is Aquarius. Tigers are known for courage, vehemence, self-Reliance, friendliness, hopefulness and resilience. Their weakness is vanity and a disregard for others.

i always look at feet because in India they love their bangles, I tryed on a pair myself, i thought they would be more heavy, but the metal was very sharp and cut in my legs so i did not get them,..but they are lovely India, Rajahstan

Another experiment with metallic blue paper as a background and the flash on my camera… haha, I guess it worked well. I never use my flash, so that’s why this is so experimental, hehe. It’s also the stamen of a hibiscus.

Gather what you will from this.. but yes, I did intend for this to look like magical sperm. Haha, it just sort of happened when I was staring at a light bulb and noticed the little spring inside… so I knew I had to do something with that. :D

If you couldn’t tell I like bubbles and water… I was playing around with fizzy water the other day in a tiny cup and I got this weird effect with the water. The little portion in the corner blurred mysteriously or exploded. I thought it looked cool though. I placed blue metallic paper under the glass and used my sigma 105mm macro lens and flash. Enjoy!

Third in the series… three drops.. nothing too special. I shall explain the crazy set-up for this one… I had the tiny green spring (which was strung with seed beads) resting on a CD with a shiny gift bow as the background. I used a syringe to place the water drops and used my flash as well. Haha, it makes sense to me! Enjoy!

Its antithesis, a gazing ball, / popular in Victorian and modern gardens, is suspended above it. Perhaps / hinting at the subliminal message, the gazing ball mirrors a very real world with tree, water, and sky; / rather than the ideal fantasy that we see before us. / Tiny remnants of petals float in the blue, luminous atmosphere. Desirée has repeated their skeletal / veins in the lower petals of the central flower; so that we know the air is filled with petals pulled from / the larger one. Was this a “He Loves me, he loves me not” scenario—a child’s game with Daisies that / gets replayed in various intonations when we are adults? The video accompanying the piece is a track, “I Belong to You”, from British alternative rock band, / Muse, from their album, The Resistance, released in Europe mid September 2009. / Remembering that the ultimate key to unlock the mystery of Glanville’s art is in the paired music, / it’s of importance that the song and lyrics regard one who travels half the world to tell their muse “I / Belong to You”. / Mid-song, from this British band, are French verses, sung with such emotion to melt the soul. / They are borrowed from Camille Saint-Saëns’ opera, “Samson and Delilah”. / Delilah sings these verses to seduce Samson, in a famous aria in Act II, “Mon coeur s’ouvre ta / voix” (“My heart opens itself to your voice”, or commonly “Softly awakes my heart”). / Ah! réponds à ma tendresse! / Verse-moi, verse-moi l’ivresse! / translated: / Ah! respond to my tenderness! / Fill me with ecstasy! / It’s uncertain, here, whether Desirée is presenting the side of the muse as a reaction to the / overtures, or the perspective of the one presenting overtures of tenderness to their heart’s desire. / It could be either or both, probably determined by the perspective of the viewer. / This is where fine art brings the viewer in as co-artist, to complete the work. Desirée seems to me / to have accomplished that spiritual merger here. / Either way, Desirée has input in the matter. Remember the gazing ball in the garden.
