  • Does it need a headline?

  • Proving once and for all that you can in fact take it with you, comes the one and the only Hell Spawned Heiress. Her body may in fact be in the early stages of rigor mortis but she still has time to make sex tapes, snort anything and everything that she deems snortable, and drag her half-bodied dog Tinkerhell with her everywhere she goes. She does it all with a cool, cocky confidence because her purse is Louis Vuitton, her sun glasses cost six figures and despite her rancid, decaying odor, she knows that you’re so very jealous.

  • Painfully cute…darkly humorous! Louis D’Ville concept & original hand drawn artwork © Seika (the love of my life). Digitally edited/enhanced by me. Proceeds from sales of these shirts will go towards rebuilding homes and communities in the 9th Ward of New Orleans (Louisiana, US). As Pyrates we support these efforts throughout the year, but especially every spring during NOLA Pyrate Week (http://nolapyrateweek.com) when thousand more Pyrates come to visit and volunteer in their favourite city. We support http://LowerNine.org and Brad Pitt’s “Make It Right Foundation” (http://www.makeitrightnola.org)

  • The Sun King or Queen? / Created with a Public Domain base from oldbookillustrations.com

  • DCP mentioned something about baseball the other day. The fact that he’s a Cubs fan only fueled my ire at the fact that we didn’t have such a good season this year. So, this is my sunny optimism shining through. :P

  • Pop Art is a visual art movement that emerged in the mid 1950s in Britain and in parallel in the late 1950s in the United States. Pop Art challenged tradition by asserting that an artist’s use of the mass produced visual commodities of popular culture is contiguous with the perspective of Fine Art since Pop removes the material from its context and isolates the object, or combines it with other objects, for contemplation. The concept of Pop Art refers not as much to the art itself as to the attitudes that led to it.

  • Mauritius (pronounced /məˈrɪʃəs/; French: L’île Maurice IPA: [il mɔˈʁis]; Mauritian Creole: Maurice), officially the Republic of Mauritius, French: République de Maurice, is an island nation off the coast of the African continent in the southwest Indian Ocean, about 900 kilometres (560 mi) east of Madagascar. In addition to the island of Mauritius, the Republic includes the islands of St. Brandon, Rodrigues and the Agalega Islands. Mauritius is part of the Mascarene Islands, with the French island of Réunion 200 km (125 mi) to the southwest and the island of Rodrigues 570 km (350 mi) to the northeast. The island of Mauritius is renowned for having been the only known home of the dodo. The dodo is a lesson in extinction. First sighted around 1600 on Mauritius, the dodo was extinct less than eighty years later.

  • It’s world series time again! Sadly, the Cardinals got blown out in the first round of the playoffs. I am forced to cheer for the Phillies now because they are National League. That’s ok I guess, they make a good sandwich, and I will cheer for anyone that whoops ass on the Yankees. It’s nothing personal, they are a great team, but I am getting a bit tired of watching them. We only get one channel here that shows baseball, and it’s the Yankee channel (on ESPN2). I get to see them play 2 times a week, and other teams about once or twice a month if I am lucky. I even have my first class period off on Thursdays so I can watch most of the morning game…Haaaa! I did get to see all the cardinal playoff games this year. That was cool because I only saw a 1 of their reg. season games all year. It’s all good though, because baseball is like pizza and sex, even when it’s bad, it’s better than not having it at all.Go Phillies!!!! (but only for 3 more games)
