Oil on canvas 24” X 24”. Completed April 2008. www.RainbowPathArtStudio.com “All living beings have the Buddha nature and can become Buddhas” / – Buddha Buddha Within illustrates the story of personal awakening. My understanding of the personal awakening process is that when undergoing the final awakening stage, the kundalini (rainbow serpent) becomes an intense fire (red/orange beside the tree trunk) shooting through the spine engulfing the body. The energy (green vortexes) required is enormous. As the kundalini reaches the crown chakra, it fully opens and all earthly limitations drop away. This being is no longer tied to a religion or faith but now embraces them all as represented by the sacred symbols in the tree. The consciousness now resides in the higher self and is one with the universe and all that is. When the transformation is complete sonic waves (the four vertical crystalline waves) travel out into the universe to let all of creation know of the grace that has taken place. All life is naturally drawn to the radiant and divine being that has become pure Buddha consciousness (centre). At each of the chakra points on the Buddha is a Swarovsky crystal in the relevant chakra colour. Crystal magnifies the properties of the chakra energy. / Buddha Within is divided into four quadrants (earth, fire, water, air) and the five elements including precious metals (bottom corners). The red veins dividing the quadrants represent the lower dimension (inner earth). The higher dimension is represented by the white equilateral triangle. If you look closely, you can see the texture of the underlying branches in the tree. These were meticulous painted before adding the covering of leaves. The tree must be complete in the physical, in order to emit the complete energy of the life form. Imbibed in the painting is sand from a sand mandala created by Gyuto Monks. They had spent a week painstakingly building an exquisite sand mandala. Upon its completion the mandala was ceremonially deconstructed and the sand poured into the local river for healing, accompanied by prayer and the blasting of Tibetan ceremonial horns. Some of the sand is held back and distributed to those who attend the ceremony: it holds sacred healing properties. I used some of the sand from this mandala, mixing it in the purple paint used for the crown charka encircling the white triangle and Buddha. Buddha Within is the third in a series and preceded by The Dream and The Awakening.
After showing off as jewellery, this little fella decided to grace the lotus flower. Some of my other nature shots
The symbolism of this piece is quite rich, and in further researches I found out that I ended up making relations between all the representations without consciously being aware of it. The Chemistry is about inner alchemy and how the power of transformation manifests itself through Will. That’s basically my version of the ancient illustrations on alchemy in which we see a dragon-serpent “wrapping” a maiden. In my version, for artistical reasons, I decided not to draw the serpent involving the maiden’s body, but putting her closer to the background, and showing her body changing according to the colors of the environment – which are the colors of the four elements. The serpent is a representation of the unconscious forces of Will. The maiden raises from a pond (the beginning of all things, regeneration, new birth) that has been formerly muddy and still (the dark green color at the edges), and now is made clear by the power of fire (strength, courage, will, passion), or the dragon. A bunch of monarch butterflies come out the pond. The butterfly is one of the symbols of the Gemini sign (Mercury) and the classical representation of regeneration and rebirth. The maiden’s hair turns first into green grass from which 3 lotus flowers (another symbol of rebirth) arise, and then into fire. The dragon’s head show itself among the profusion of hair. The four elements are clearly present, in images and colors: Fire (dragon’s head, the top of the picture, the color red), Earth (grass and leaves, the color green), Air (butterflies, the color yellow) and Water (the pond, the color blue). It’s part of our journey as human beings to face muddy waters throughout our life. But to remain stagnant in them is our choice. We all have the inner strength to being born again, to rebuild ourselves – we just need to accept the changes and look toward the future. We are the alchemists. colored pencil on bristol board / 17×8.5

Completed July 2008. www.RainbowPathArtStudio.com “To see a world in a grain of sand and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand and eternity in an hour” / – William Blake This painting represents our internal vision and the ability to fully see the wonders of creation. Nick very kindly lent me his 30D and 100mm macro, since my lens is on the fritz. Someone mentioned that it looked like the frog was singing into a hundred little microphones. I was out feeding the Koi and Goldfish before the rain came in. The day was overcast and the winds were blowing upon my face. I could smell the rain.. As I was standing near one of the Koi ponds feeding the excited Koi I looked across the Lotus area and there was a beautiful Lotus Flower. I was surprised at its glow and shape. This I knew was the last Lotus Flower that I would see this year.. I must get the camera.. Oh but the rains are moving in.. Must move fast.. When the rains start it will be too late and the storms which are showering rain down now will change everything. I ran and grabbed the digital SLR and came back in a rush.. No time to set up a Tripod.. Nor time for the Mono pod.. Hold still now Chuck.. Exhale slow.. Squeeze ever so smooth.. again , again , again, The rain is starting to come harder.. The winds are picking up… Back in the house .. load the memory on the computer.. I had one capture that I was happy with.. I will share it with the people I care for on RB.. This is my token of friendship .. Please except it as is.. I except you.. / Chuck What A Picture For Your Wall Buy It Here
Here we have the Hindu God Ganesh! This is just one of the many aquatic plants we have growing in our water garden
I’m always looking for purple Lotus’s as I really love the contrast of colours when the light is right.
Hand-drawn design with colour pencil. Has been sitting on the back-burner for quite awhile. Was finally motivated to finish it for the T-Shirt Revolution Challenge… Here’s a brighter version of the tee: [printing by it’s nature is darker than what you see on screen, but the quality of the tees here at RB are great. I have my Muerte tee and the colour worked out great.]
Under the sight of the planets, life continues on the wheel of evolution. Round and round… From the cells of this seed head, shall fall the next sacred water lily seeds that will sink into the muck far below and struggle to grow until they return to the light. ~~~~~~~~~~~ This image was FEATURED in group” The Fine Art of Photography” during the month of July to August 2008. / ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Image has been viewed 350+ times. A lotus or commonly called water lily shows its affinity for the light.
The original was just a normal white lotus on water with leaves underneath. Then on a really basic software I moved the black point to the right and the background went fully black!! Then I turned the colours towards “cold” and these colours came up!! (who needs photoshop really ;))
This is probably the last lotus bloom of the year. The bloom lasted one day before the cold rain knocked all the petals off.

Vector Artwork / Contrary means: opposite in nature or character, and unfavorable or adverse – which i think are all quite fitting for yet another un-”sunshine and lolliepops” piece. At first glace, it does look all nice, and its really not! Consider a Dragon Snail good luck in your garden as it leaves a trail of diamonds, careful he doesn’t burn the place down. Excellent source for fire outdoors, favourite food: lotus flowers Found this one a bit more challenging for content – i still think it could use some more “groud cover” as plentiful as in: / I found Alice easier for ideas, as its a party, and there’s lots of things to have/take ;) / This one took around 2 days quicker, but is just in the garden…. perhaps some more garden impliments? it really needs more stuff, let me know if you have any ideas, and i’ll add them in. / Alternative Title: Mary mary why ya buggin’?
