A stack of Lobster Pots at the Mumbles Marina, Eastbourne which, although filled with a few floating gin palaces, does have a fair share of working boats passing through.
Silver pencil and charcoal drawing on A1 brown paper. / Well we were asked to go for a walk in the little section of land beside our art department to get an idea for a land art sculpture to be made of materials on site. there’s a small unused parking lot of blue metal rocks in this area which most would think makes the space an eyesore. I immediately thought how cool it would be to make what looked like water out of the unexpected material of rock. Like zen gardens use rakes to make the sand rippled like water. So this is what I plan to make in the space.
This photo was taken in Springtown which is a development in the north east section of Livermore. This is from an abandon lot across the street from the duck pond. This lot is where the 7-11 used to be located when it was inside a trailer. That’s the way I remember it from my childhood.

The wigeon is a medium-sized duck with a round head and small bill. The head and neck of the male are chestnut, with a yellow forehead, pink breast and grey body. In flight birds show white bellies and males have a large white wing patch. Birds breed in central and northern Scotland and also in northern England. Many birds visit the UK in winter from Iceland, Scandinavia and Russia. With large numbers of wintering birds at a few UK sites it is an Amber List species.
Experimenting! / Thank you for viewing, and feel free to let me know what you think! / I love these little birds! Smile! /
My latest pattern. I had great fun creating all the different cat-like creatures for this piece. You will notice that the cats start repeating before the colours do. This is because I first made a simple B&W outline version which I then tiled before colouring. This repeating colour version is made up of a 5×4 grid of the B&W version. I am currently finishing off a similar pattern made up of bear-like creatures and have many more ideas to visualize before this series if finished. I will probably upload my B&W version at some point as well as some other coloured ones. Thanks for looking, I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it. / Update: You can now see the B&W version here Detail /
This is the original cast of characters in a black and white version of my Catachresis pattern. / This shows just a little more than one tile. You can see a coloured version here Detail: /

BETTER VIEWED LARGER Watch the first step it’s a doozy ! The highest lookout in the Blue Mountains approximately 1100 metres above sea level. This lookout gives magnificent views over the Hartley Valley, as well as views of Lithgow. You can also walk or ride around the Lookout. The Blue Mountains “World Heritage” area is 2-3 hours west of Sydney, its majesty is well deserved with stunning views in all directions , well worth your time when visiting Sydney. This shot is the result of 5 bracketted images, processed in Photomatix, with a light sharpen and contrast in Capture NX. Equipment: Nikon D300 and Sigma 10-20mm lens
