  • This is a collaborative transatlantic entry between myself and the incredibly talented and totally awesome billyboy in Belgium for RedBubbles Gaia – The Living Planet competition. Now, I’m not a religious person, but I wanted to illustrate by using billyboys Noah’s Ark image that if we dont start taking care of this planet we are living on I truly / believe we will be in for a disaster of biblical proportions. All that is beautiful and wondrous will simply disappear… like so many ephemeral bubbles. We are all interconnected, and we must find our harmony with Gaia, or risk losing it all. Many thanks to billyboy for sharing my vision, and giving so generously of his time, blood, tears and love to bring this vision into glorious life. Concept: Rhana / Background artwork: Billyboy / Art within the bubbles: Rhana / Bubble creation: Billyboy / Design: Rhana / Title Inspiration: Billyboy For those interested in buying the totally hawt tee of this image its now available over at billyboys place. Proceeds from sales of the tee go to the STV Foundation.

  • You may have seen this already. I didn’t feel it was very ‘sjem’ so had it elsewhere, I’ve been convinced otherwise … /

  • Bow Lake. Alberta, Canada / March 2008 Inspired by comments from Stuart Chapman and Rhana Griffin on my last upload of this stunning setting, I decided to revisit this location… if only I could have actually revisited for real, but sadly only through my many pictures… This really was an expanse of breath taking scenery and I was more than happy to pull this one out of the bag…

  • yeah yeah yeahs part of a ttv (through the viewfinder) series Theory: / TTV (Through The Viewfinder) photography is when you use an old medium format camera and a digital camera. / These old medium format twin reflex cameras have large viewfinders. Firstly you compose your image using the medium format camera (in my case i have used a mamiya c33) then you actually take the picture using a digital camera (here i use my pentax K10) of what is in the viewfinder of the old camera.

This is a great poster for kids or a nice card to give when they lose their first tooth!!! A visit from the tooth fairy is always very very welcome!!! :) Once the Chunkies are created and photographed, I usually dismantle them to be used in the creation of more chunkies, so I am recycling the plasticine. These Chunkies have been very therapeutic to create over the holidays, whilst taking a break from red bubble and having my family around. I have many more to come, and although I won’t be on RB as much, I hope to also be doing some serious painting this year…so i look forward 2009 with much anticipation …
