This photograph was taken in the Main Auditorium on the top floor of the Divine Lorraine Hotel. The hotel is located on North Broad Street in Philadelphia, and has been abandoned since the late 90’s. The hotel takes it’s name from the leader of the Universal Peace Mission movement, Father Divine (aka George Baker) who housed his followers on it’s premises.
This is the stunning blossom from my dwarf Nectarine tree. It’s a stunning tree while covered in flowers during spring, and most delicious, as fruit in my mouth during summer!!!!

I was enjoying a leasurely breakfast ,with the low winter sun shining through the window, when this image presented itself. This is not an original image as the night before I was reading an April 09 Issue of Digital Camera World and came across a very similar shot. We’re a little behind here, I was only able to pick up the issue at the newsagents two days ago. I just couldn’t resist taking the shot myself. Mind you I had to hurry as the sun was disappearing and my coffee was getting cold. It was suggested by Karen that I try a mono of my original shot. I started from scratch and converted to B & W. Jon, who is 16, loves this shot of himself. Featured in Older Kids Group 18 June 2009 Canon 40D / Photoshop CS3
