  • Solitude
    by TerriRiver

    US$31.35–US$167.20

The bridge reminds me of an emotion of solitude, which is not to be confused with loneliness. The former leads to an internal peace and being one with nature and oneself while the latter was a feeling of being forced to be alone, deprived of freedom and choice. I used to call this photo “Peaceful Bridge” until a young patient of mine (at the time she was nine years old) explored the difference between solitude and loneliness. When the image was presented to him as an illustration, he exclaimed, “Oh, solitude is peace, inner peace!” And the true title of the piece was born. • Looking Up
    by Nate Owens

    US$17.81–US$95.00

This digital painting of a cowboy in a predicament is published by a national company as a greeting card and other gift products (mugs, magnets, t-shirts, etc.) The card has a verse inside “hope things are looking up,” a satirical greeting of hope and well wishes to anyone going through tough times. Whether in a western setting, humorous or serious, it is a look at the way life sometimes puts us at odds with seemingly impossible situations… you either laugh or cry, and pray like crazy. Now available as a print. Nate Owens / My Web Site

  • The doe took a little time off from busy eating for the photo opportunity, although she didn’t want to give up the tasty colorful leaf. By now everyone who has ever seen my work knows that I’m absolutely “addicted” to develop a deep relationship and establish an intimate communication with mule deer (we don’t have a lot of white-tailed deer around here). Everyday I go out there in the early mornings, hoping to have a close encounter! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada

  • A Horse With No Name
    by Michael J Armijo

    US$5.70–US$152.00

A few months ago I heard this song called A HORSE WITH NO NAME. I recalled it from my high school days. I just fell in love with the song again (lyrics below). And…last weekend while in the State of Virginia—I saw this horse that just sort of posed for me. It was my very own ‘horse with no name’; however, I think I’ll call it SUGAR. A HORSE WITH NO NAME (lyrics) On the first part of the journey / I was looking at all the life / There were plants and birds and rocks and things / There was sand and hills and rings / The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz / And the sky with no clouds / The heat was hot and the ground was dry / But the air was full of sound I’ve been through the desert on a horse with no name / It felt good to be out of the rain / In the desert you can remember your name / ‘Cause there ain’t no one for to give you no pain / La, la … After two days in the desert sun / My skin began to turn red / After three days in the desert fun / I was looking at a river bed / And the story it told of a river that flowed / Made me sad to think it was dead You see I’ve been through the desert on a horse with no name / It felt good to be out of the rain / In the desert you can remember your name / ‘Cause there ain’t no one for to give you no pain / La, la … After nine days I let the horse run free / ‘Cause the desert had turned to sea / There were plants and birds and rocks and things / there was sand and hills and rings / The ocean is a desert with it’s life underground / And a perfect disguise above / Under the cities lies a heart made of ground / But the humans will give no love You see I’ve been through the desert on a horse with no name / It felt good to be out of the rain / In the desert you can remember your name / ‘Cause there ain’t no one for to give you no pain / La, la …

  • Cheetah Brothers
    by Steve Bulford

    US$4.28–US$35.62

WILD AND FREE / / Two cheetah cub brothers sitting on a termite mound. Taken early one morning about half an hour after sunrise. (Masai Mara – Kenya) / / The world’s fastest land animal, the cheetah, is a unique and the most specialized member of the cat family and can reach speeds of 70 mph. Unlike other cats, the cheetah has a leaner body, longer legs, and has been referred to as the greyhound of the cats. It is not an aggressive animal, using flight versus fight. With its weak jaws and small teeth, the price it paid for speed, it cannot fight larger predators to protect its kill or young. The cheetah was once a common animal found on five continents, but is slowly losing its race for survival and is now classed as an Endangered Species! • River's Snow Portrait
    by TerriRiver

    US$4.99–US$133.00

My dog River posing for a portrait in the snow. She has ALWAYS liked her picture being taken since she barely opened her eyes at two weeks of age. Her litter mates ran around when the camera aimed at them but she stood in attention every time a photo opportunity showed up! :) I’m sure she’d be glad that I donate the proceed of the sale of her photos to Nature Canada as she loves woods and her deer friends as much as I do! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada.
