FINALIST IN THE NOVEMBER + DECEMBER 2008 NATURAL DEVELOPMENTS GROUP. This Thick-tailed gecko Underwoodisaurus milii was found during hand searches in spinifex in western NSW. We enjoyed his company during this early morning photo shoot. This species is reasonably common, in particular, through the granite outcrops of the great dividing range. The guys from Wardan Aboriginal Centre really put on a wonderful traditional performance for us at the Busselton Beach Festival…. the music and dance was spectacular and fascinating to see. The amazing part was how many children from the audience got up to dance as well, given the fact that judging by this face, it might have been a little “scary”!!!! More images can be found here Any profits from the sale of these images will be donated to the Wardan Aboriginal Cultural Centre Please enjoy!
He’s laughing at you / thanks for looking .................
A giraffe looking downwards (don’t they always??!). I was standing on the back of a utility. / / Taken with Canon 5D, 70-300mm lens @70mm, f4, ISO 100 1/320th sec. Featured in Natural Colour & Light Group (April 2009), Photography 101 Group (May 2009) , Funny Kritters Gropu (May 2009)& Giraffes the long and tall of it Group (May 2009).
The wonderful thing about this photo is that it’s a corner that is no longer there. I spotted this “eye” while walking along in Soho, NYC back in early 2005 and now there is a new Andre Balaz condominium building. So…I’m glad I took the shot now. After all…I’m sure YOU have an eye on someone…so it may give you a “lift” by just looking at it, right? ;)
Camera Canon 350D / Lens Canon 18-55 Looking as you are – Embrace = click this link I have shown you many photographs of the Gateshead Millennium Bridge that I have taken on a night time when it is lit up and looking quite magnificent, here is one I took one sunny afternoon.
These Rainbow Lorikeets were photographed at Lake Conjola, south of Nowra, NSW, Australia. I was enjoying an apple when I was ‘attacked’. I think this image really sums up there personality!

This is version 2 of the picture “I’m looking at you”. I much prefer the softness of this one. Let me know what you think of the rework.
