Taken at Longwood Tower, just outside Huddersfield. Visited old haunts yesterday. I used to spend a lot of time up here when I was a kid, playing “King of the Castle. In spring there is the village “sing” where everyone comes out and sings hymns and such. It’s quite a thing! Now the tower is all fenced off and a hazard. I took this through the fence.

These tulips were growing in the sunlight there. /

This is the large lake that is part of the grounds owned by the DuPont family who purchased this land to prevent development and to save the trees.

This tree remember me of an umbrella … when its leaves are full there will be safety under its branches. It is just starting to bloom and it is quite lovely. This beauty can be found at Longwood Gardens in Brandywine, Pennsylvania. Look for it along the big lake area.
