Just downstream from where the Franklin River joins the Gordon RIver in Tasmania’s South-West World Heritage Area. Despite its remote, pristine appearance, this spot recieves thousands of visitors per year from nearby Strahan. After rafting the Franklin River, it’s a bit of a shock to arrive here amidst a throng of tourists, a float plane, and a large tourist ferry… Limited to cards on RedBubble, this image is available as a limited edition print from my website © Doug Thost 2005 Tech details: Canon EOS1n with 20-35mm lens, 30sec exposure on Fuji Provia 100

I had to go back and take another shot of this little waterfall while the yellow Aspen leaves were still reflecting off the water. I usually don’t like taking photos of waterfalls unless it’s an overcast day but this time a sunny day worked in my favor. This little waterfall is in a hard to get to area of Cheyenne Canyon, which is near the famous Seven Falls, and Helen Hunt Falls in Colorado Springs. Canon XTi f/22 18mm(18-55mm) 13 secs. * /

Stopped at Nigretta Falls near Hamilton Victoria on our way to Melbourne last week. Nice amount of water passing over the summit at the moment thanks to recent rains. Canon 400D with 17-85 lens. CIR Polariser to help slow the flow rate. No ND filter with me (Damn!) but the overcast day helped.

I searched the internet for a really long exposure of Tahquamenon Falls but couldn’t find one. So I figured that my first real shot with my new 10 stop filter would be of this amazing falls.
