  • the easy silence you make for me

  • Bodie Ghost Town in the Seirra Nevada Mountains in Eastern California. This 1800’s Gold town once had a thriving population of 10,000 people. It was a true wild western town with gun fights, saloons and a huge redlight district.

The sky is a photo of a fingerpainting (it was way too big to scan) and has only undergone slight colour alteration and slight blurring. Everything else is pure photoshop magic.

  • I ride alone, lost in my thoughts, taking in the beautiful sights around me. Like a pillar of strength, you appear out of nowhere when I least expected it. Greener pastures on both sides of the fence. You’re shining light gives me hope that blue skies will prevail, and that the storm will just blow over. For I am travelling the long road home. My art with 1000+ views

  • Captured near Montandon, PA. One of those “lucky” moments when you expect nothing and get it all. As he passed by me, I silently thanked him for this moment, now captured forever. He looked perplexed why I was there taking a picture …..

  • On the wide open plains of the Kruger National Park, South Africa, we happened upon this large, lone bull. He seemed to be going somewhere, as he detoured around us slightly, wary of our clicking and whispering. When the brief encounter was over, we both went on our way, perhaps, I’d like to think, better for the meeting…

  • This shot was taken on the way home from a motorcycle trip to Dayton, OH. My buddy was getting a little ticked off at my wanting to stop to take this shot, as we tried to outrun the rain. Am I glad we stopped !!! This looked like an old church, that someone then had used as a residence for years. I LOVE the red leather chair on the porch, and the sky was just perfect for HDR. Taken with Nikon D300 and Tokina 12-24mm lens. Post processing included HDR treatment, and some dodge & burn.

  • The other casualties of war—those left behind, are seldom considered after the folded flag is given in memory of their loved one’s sacrifice. This piece pays homage to those left behind, and explores “Feeling the Void”. It features the riderless horse, which, although reserved for colonels, or above, in the Army or Marine Corps, here, symbolizes the soul of the lost soldier. The horse here is a Friesian horse, on which a star blaze has been added as a tribute to “Black Jack”, a long serving riderless horse. The young woman represents a daughter, nearly grown, for all intents and purposes, but always and forever “Daddy’s girl”. Take a moment with me and remember the wives, husbands, children, brothers, and sisters of the lost soldiers who paid their respective country with their life and, also, the lives of those they left behind. Digital work, in watercolor style, June 2009 Suggestions: Sympathy card for someone who has lost a family member in the service. Poster for a child who has lost a parent in the service. And the normal aesthetic pieces for those who love powerful, symbolic art. • Lonely ship…

  • A lone tree on the hill at Rendelsham, near Millicent – Limestone Coast South Australia. Amazing spreading and uplifting clouds made for a good back drop. Maybe it’s what nature is all about, putting healing oxygen back into our world….. Canon 400D 17-85 with CIR Polarising filter. Converted to black and white in photoshop CS3.

  • At the San Leandro Marina, CA

  • I would really love to hear thoughts on this because I’m not sure how I feel about it. It was interesting creating it because I didn’t originally plan it to come out like it did (like most Everything I do). / Feedback is welcome… Thanks to all these stock providers for the wonderful stock, these artists have some great contributions: / falln-brushes , night-fate-stock, sol-stock, al-stock Here is the full black and white version for comparison:
