  • These pieces express so many things that I could not possibly express in words. They reflect the different times in my life; the many emotions I felt. There are some old favourites of mine in this calendar, and some new, popular pieces. / Take yourself on a journey into the realm of my art. Which of my art pieces does your birthday fall on? • While photography is no longer how I make a living (being a Quality Engineer for a medical device company pays much better), I still like to shoot and share. This calendar contains a few of my favorite pictures, digital and film, from over 35 years of shooting, as featured in my first photobook of the same name (including a couple that would have been in there if I had shot them yet) . To see a preview of the book, go to: http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/377153 And don’t just look. See. See what is in the details. See the galaxy in a knothole.

  • These images are a compilation of 35 years of fascination with human creations that have been discarded. I have a recurring dream of the earth as a planet of landfills and scrap yards.

  • Each photograph presented here visually demonstrates the ability of homo sapiens to get lost in the vastness of nature. For millennia we have tried to give ourselves meaning in the universe through religions and belief systems, trying to gain some comfort, and mentally giving ourselves ‘special’ VIP status in the realm of the cosmos. / In many ways things have not changed. Homo sapiens are still searching for meaning, still thinking that they have greater importance than other beings on earth. Today we have reached a tipping point where the earth is finally sick, and if something doesn’t change, it is going to die swinging. It is time that we recognize our place in nature and leave the human centered way of thinking in the past. Nature is powerful and it should scare us. We are alone, isolated, lonely, vulnerable, small, weak and it is beautiful.
