We had not seen a lion all day. We were heading for the exit, and this beautiful female hopped up on this log. This was in Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania.
First time I’ve ever seen a tree growing on an old log in the water. Don’t ask me why I shot it at ISO-400. Someone forgets they change their camera settings… Date: May 17, 2009 / Location: Lake Wausau, Rothschild, WI / Camera: Canon EOS 20D / Lens: Canon 28-135mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS USM / 1/80 F/11 28mm ISO-400
I tend to look at the ground to find interesting things. The water is full of tea tree oil from the surrounding tee trees giving it the awesome colour. Feels good on your skin too although mighty cold.
While out and about for a walk we found this fallen log and I just loved the textures.
This rustic timber log belonged to a friend and lived on their back deck.
