I spent the afternoon at Ft Logan National Cemetary in Denver for a funeral of a WW2 Veteran…I am a military brat. Both my mom and my dad were Marines and yet in my almost 31 years of life this is the first full metal service I have ever been too. It was the most amazing thing to be witness of. The guns, the flag, the doves…Was amazing!!! When it was all said and done what does any photographer do?? Take pictures…All the White headstones just amazed me. They go for miles and miles, thats all you see it is a reminder of how someone could be so unselfish to give there life for our Country! WOW! Such hero’s. I don’t do sappy stuff so this is new for me. A tribute and a memorial for each and every one who have served or are still serving (including my Mommy) / HDR Processed (Very mildly) and then enhanced in LR / Nikon D60 DSLR / Tamron 18-250mm / PLEASE VIEW LARGE TO REALLY GET THE FULL EFFECT /

Old Mans Cave Upper Falls (TOP of FALLS) / The most popular of all the Hocking areas is Old Man’s Cave, located on S.R. 664. Here at Upper Falls, the Grandma Gatewood Trail begins its six-mile course connecting three of the park’s areas: Old Man’s Cave to Cedar Falls to Ash Cave. / One quiet afternoon, I set about discovering all of the fine details in the beautiful Hotel Estherea. The attention to décor and placement of their objects and art, I soon discovered, was put together with a photographer’s keen eye, making the very best of the light. Over in one corner I discovered this five-feet-high, hand-hammered brass vase reflecting the window’s light. This window looks out upon the Canal. The gold and deep red brocade heavy curtains warmed the Light. I have uploaded this with no digital manipulation (with the exception of sizing and reducing noise). I have perhaps captured Rembrandt’s Light. (Amsterdam in May, 2009). A magical place indeed.
