More from In the Garden Set Logs stacked up in the garden, destined for the fire.
I have taken this self portrait of myself in the hub of truck wheel. I thought i could try and look at myself. line up my camera and judge the end of the lens, and well hope for the best.
I think this is a little warbler, but I’m not certain. Whatever the case, it joined a flock of goldfinch on Christmas Day and was the only one that showed any interest in the suet log. I love its spikey little legs and tiny sharp talons. If anyone can help me identify this bird, I’d appreciate it. I checked the Audubon Field Guide to North American Birds, but nothing matches it perfectly.

She lived 78 years of her life as a captive and adopted member of the Senecas, during which time she became the wife of Chief Hiokatoo, and gained great influence in their councils” Photographed in Letchworth State Park, Castile, NY on January 2nd, 2009. This little log cabin is only about 10×10 and sits where Isabelle meets 95th in Erie Colorado. It is in it’s perfect little spot under that big old tree. This is a llama farm and I was hoping that they would pass by so I could get them in the picture too. But no such luck! /
I took this photograph on Christmas day while vacationing in Nipika Resort in British Columbia. The lighting was perfect along with the low cloud. It had snowed lightly in the morning so the snow was nice and fresh. © 2009 Anne Hale. /
Heres another little cutie I got along with the chickadees and cardinals .. thanks for all your help in telling me what little bird this is .. I thought he was a woodpecker but then got confused along the way somehow lol

Autumn sun filtered in / My roof of leaves are gone / They now adorn my floor and make music / Crunching and blowing as you walk along. You stepped over me everyday on your fungi hunt / Today the sun shone over me, stopped you mid step, / My heart for you now stands out, don’t cry, take a breath! / Moss, lichen and leaves, encircle my heart that was your summers path. We had a wonderful season making memories / It’s time for me to go now / Snow is on it’s way, to blanket me / Till next year I will hold your heart, / For you again to find me. / XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX My last journey into the forest where I took photos all summer of mushrooms and fungi,,today it felt so baron,,my friends are gone, leaves covered everything until I found this heart on this log as if it was meant for me,, thank you Lord,, / “heart” / FEATURED IN -THE WORLD AS WE SEE IT-group-11/02/2009
