  • Where the river meets the ocean vancouver b.c canada

  • This was taken just near my holiday house in Marysville, Victoria, Australia. It’s such a beautiful spot that not a lot of people know about and the area especially looks great in Autumn although some rain would be most welcome! I constructed the image using HDR which is merging three different exposures into one On Saturday the 7th of February my family lost our home away from home at Marysville, as well as our two Rhodesian Ridgebacks and our Abyssinian cat. My condolences go to anyone who also lost family, friends or property on this terrible weekend, and I know deep down that Marysville will be back and better than ever, in the near future… Click here for my other images of the Yarra Ranges

  • Official – Chocolate Is Good For You! Ok. Forget what everyone tries to tell you. It’s official. Chocolate Is Good For You! At least according to Tunnock’s, the Scottish family bakers. Thomas Tunnock formed the company in 1890, when he purchased a baker’s shop in Uddingston. Their products have acquired something of a cult status, and are recognisable by their distinctive packaging. The Tunnock’s Tea Cake is a sweet snack popular in Britain. It consists of a small round shortbread biscuit covered with a dome of a whipped egg white concoction similar to marshmallow. This is then encased in a thin layer of milk or plain chocolate and wrapped in a distinctive coloured foil wrapping. The name is somewhat confusing as a tea cake is normally a sweet bread roll with dried fruit added to the mix, often served toasted and buttered. A Tunnock’s Tea Cake bears no relation to this product. Products similar to the Tunnock’s Tea Cake include the Mallowpuff (sold in New Zealand), the Israeli winter confectionary Krembo, the Whippet Cookie and Viva Puff in Canada, the Negerkuss or Schaumkuss in Germany and Mallomars in the United States. This shot was taken at Crinan, Argyll and Bute. Date: 22nd August 2008 Click here to see the Ducking Stool sign

  • 3d art render of a frog sitting on a log. Made with Bryce 3d.

  • This shot is one half of my accidental collage shot oops . It was taken after one of the worst night sleeps I’ve ever had when we camped next to these redwoods in the Otways. At about 2:30 a huge logging truck drove past on the road about 10 meters from our tent, other trucks followed at intervals just long enough to allow you to dose off again. This continued until about 6:00am when the WMD’s finally ceased. Took this shot not long after that in the first light of the day. Sold two 8”x12” framed prints of this one, not a terribly original composition but popular all the same. For more pictures from this area check out my The Otways gallery.

  • Log Cabin, Lost Villages, Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. / October 12, 2008 / 113 views as of 12/24/09

  • This is an old road (now unused) and I was attracted to the bright moss colored chopped logs. So I had to hike back to photograph them. Actually just around the bend was a lot of old building debris. Ecola State Park (Near Canon Beach Oregon) / One of Ecola State Park’s first attractions was a beached whale. In 1806, Capt. William Clark and twelve members of the Corps of Discovery climbed over rocky headlands and fought their way through thick shrubs and trees to get to the whale in what is now Ecola State Park. Today, a paved road from Cannon Beach makes your trek to the park much easier. Winding your way through towering Sitka spruce, you suddenly emerge upon a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean.
