  • roy’s motel, amboy, california, is classic route 66…the place has been closed for quite some time yet looks and feels like it could reopen any minute…there have been plans but, so far, none have come through…it is a little off the beaten path but well worth the effort to visit…

  • I do not know what these are. I tried hard to keep detail in the white of the flowers as it was there in the original flowers. They would have looked more spectacular brighter but this would have killed the detail. Taken with Pentax LX camera F 1.4 50mm lens with doubler and synchronised flash on Kodachrome 200

  • 10 yrs. ago I dared too venture in this camp built by three wealthy business partners in the 1950’s.. the windows where breaking, the roof covered in moss.. As I walked through it, I reeled back in time,, no electricity,, but beautiful gas lights where still hanging on the walls and ceilings.. the floors were 10inch wide oak floors. there is a huge kitchen with a water barrel outside the window that caught rain water and was pumped too the sink, 3 large bedrooms on the second floor, with old Armour’s still in the rooms, rusting bed springs and frames with no mattresses..the three partners had a fallen out with each other and let this property go too mother nature. I took this photo 2008, and can not even walk inside it now because too dangerous,, what a shame,, I still hear music when I am near it,, there were happy times there I am sure.. / FEATURED in NATURES RECLAMATION-2009- / “lodge” / “lodge”
