I am most proud of this shot so far in my short time doing photography. This image incorporates my passionate nature with my love of the ocean. I used to lobster fish with my Dad and so the ocean holds a lot of dear, and not so dear LOL, memories for me. I almost froze my hands off doing this. It was snowing a little while before I took this shot so you can imagine close to the water, with a breeze, how cold it was. However, in the name of love and romance, anything goes! LOL
This is Hope my Lurcher, on a snowy febuary day in 2007, she wasn’t that keen on the weather but did oblige me with this quirky shot. I have another Lurcher called Grace as well as Rubicon and Renegade the Ferrets who complete the team, Hope has the nose for finding quarry and Grace has the speed to fill my freezer. Here are the two dogs playing in the snow.
This is another of my award winning shots. The tittle is based on the myth of storks delivering babies.
Rapeseed oil fields surrounded my cottage in the summer of 2007, everything was turned yellow by the pollen, but what a photographic opportunity!
Polly Joke is a local name for a remote beach on Cornwall’s north coast, it is my favorite beach for beach-combing after a high-tide and provides me with plenty of photographic and sculptural material. Here are a few more of my photos taken in Cornwall me ‘ansom.
A tiny flower with a huge amount of detail, although not a rare flower, not many people have seen a wild one.
Someone once wrote- One night a man had a dream. / He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the dark sky flashed scenes from his life. / For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, / one beloning to him and the other to the Lord. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, / he looked back at the footprints in the sand. / He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. / He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. / This bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. “Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, / you’d walk with me all the way. / But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. / I don’t understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.” The Lord replied “My precious, precious child, I love you and would never leave you. / During your times of trial and suffereing, / when you see only one set of footprints in the sand, / it was then that I carried you.”
A bit of a commercial shot this one, but… it does make a fantastic card, I sell these as cards for £2.oo each offline in the real world.
This is the veiw at the end of the lane where the cottage I live in is… I know, I’m spoilt! What blessings I am given.
