Lochan na h-Achlaise is a loch on Rannoch Moor in the Scottish Highlands. It’s a fantastically atmospheric place, even on a bright summer’s day, but never more so than on a chill autumn night when the conditions are just right for an amazing sunset.

Above Glencoe village, overlooking the islands of Loch Leven, stands Glencoe House, It was built In 1895 by Lord Strathcona, and he also created the Lochan and surrounding woodland for his Canadian wife, Isabela whose grandmother was a native American. It is said that Donald wished to make his wife feel more at home in Scotland.
