clever title…. i know!... meh. so! i live a block and a half from the san diego bay.. i walk down there almost everyday.. spend as much time there as possible. its quiet, beautiful, tranquil and always leaves me feeling better. once day while wandering around on the sand looking to take pictures of unsuspecting marine life, i found this lobster, on its back, struggling to get back on its feet. immediately i turned it over and gave it a good looking at to make sure it was alright. it didnt scamper off, so i decided i should take a couplle of shots of it before it did so. i noticed its right eye seemed to be damaged, brushed the sand off it it, and realized the eye was fine, and functioning.. i did this AFTER i took my pictures though.. so.. it still looks wonky here. sorry about that. i turned him towards the bay, and watched him march back into the sea… im glad i was there to help the poor thing.. the tide woulndt have reached him for a few hours, and he would have surely died! and fyi- lobsters that live in the waters of the pacific ocean do not have claws like those found in areas like the atlantic ocean.. makes them look kind of strange if you are used to the traditional lobsters with claws.. figured id point this out!
Deep in the sea’s of the caymen islands there are treasures of art! The colors the sights…oh my how beautiful!

West Pennant is a tiny fishing community a few miles south of Halifax, Nova Scotia,Canada. It’s typical of many small coves and inlets which provide fishing boats from the vagaries of the North Atlantic Ocean. This image shows a lobster boat tied up at a small wharf, with a stack of lobster traps and a fuel drum close at hand. July 21, 2007, Sony DSCF828 camera. /
This is in Lubec, Maine harbor. My sisters and I were walking through town on a sunny day, and looking up the street we saw a big cloud of fog. We walked toward it and came to the harbor, which was really fogged in. This is one of the photos I got.
The little fishing village of Blue Rocks is on the south shore of Nova Scotia, Canada, a short way off Highway 3, the Lighthouse Route which follows the coast all the way from Halifax to Yarmouth. It’s a collection of homes and fishing sheds clustered around coves and points of land that face out to the Atlantic Ocean. On this day in late October, lobster boats are anchored in the shelter of reefs which offer some protection from the wind and possible storm that’s looming over the horizon. Sony DSCF828 camera. /
