A hungry coyote on a cold December afternoon. He looked at me as if I were lunch. I am happy to say he did get fed, and lunch had nothing to do with me. Whew! Taken at the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary in Green Bay, WI Please View Larger
I have three cats at home and my buddy Taz loves to wrestle. I wanted to reach out and wrestle with this fella, but you and I both know it is a good thing I left well enough alone.
This is a BW with selective color of another post here in my portfolio. Thank you.
When processing this image I could not help but think of Aslan in Chronicle of Narnia. What a great image of majestic power, the same as our Lord God. / / Please View Larger
Taken in Cedarburg, WI This photo was taken with a Canon 30D with a Tamron SP 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di LD-IF zoom lens.
Taken in Nakuru, Kenya. Our Mission Team were performing a drama at the time this photo was taken. We were visiting a school in Nakuru. Many of these children were orphans. The conditions at this school were extremely poor. Our goal was to share Gods Word and bring some light to such dark times. / / I thought I would add a little here… / / This is actually a photo of a girl. Some have mistakenly thought it was a boy. I did the same when I first arrived in Kenya, dont feel bad. What I learned is that hair is kept short to better manage lice. / / Many of these children are very dirty and do not appear to clean up that often. Even when they do the water is full of contaminents and such. In the slums the water is even worse. / / Compassion International / Releasing children from poverty in Jesus name.
Please View Larger Now before you jump to any conclusions….please give me a minute to explain. / / I have a reputation here at Redbubble I would like to keep in tack. I just could not resist the humor in this photo. I would never support vulgarities. / / Please remember, Mr. Attitude is Gods creature too. God loves all that He has made, even Mr. Attitude… / / When I first seen this fella I thought…sheesh…what in the world? How in the world does this gorilla know that I shoot with a Canon and not a Nikon? / / After taking a few photos with his continued display of disgust that I am a Canon man, he finally jumped down to get some more food to eat. / / Once Mr. Attitude jumped down to the ground, I could see that he did not have a problem with my Canon gear at all. Instead I could see that he must have at one time broke his finger and now it is stuck in that position. / / It felt good to know there was nothing personal intended, so I mouthed to him, that I took nothing personal and smiled. Now dont laugh at Mr. Attitude, just laugh with him. Canon 300D / Canon 75-300mm Zoom

For the past three years or so, my dad, Tim and my brother, Jack and I take photography trips together. Often we are taking photos of the same subject matter but it is interesting how each of us see it and interpret it differently. My next series of postings are from a trip I took with my dad to Upper Michigan. We spent time in Copper Harbor, Calumet, Houghton, Hancock, and many little historical towns. The goal was fall colors. While on the trip we found other subject matter. I hope you enjoy my interpretation. Stop by my dads sight and see how he views similar subjects. This image was taken off the shores of Lake Superior at Eagle Harbor, Michigan. Please View Larger
This was taken while on a Fall Color trip with my Dad (Tim Denny). To no surprise I cannot remember the highway for the life of me. Someday, if I am lucky, there will be a DSLR with voice activated location logging…LOL!! Maybe I should not laugh. Please View Larger
I have been really surprised by the kind of attention this photo has received. It has been sitting in my archives for awhile. I really thought it was a nice shot when I took ti but later had my doubts. Some 20 days ago or so I decided to post it and found there to be much more of a positive response than expected. Today, November 23, 2008 I found that the Country Roads/Around the World group featured this image. Thank you very much. This is a revised version. The original post can be found here – Rolling Start Thank you all for such a nice response to this photo. Please View Larger

The Minnesota Zoo, in Apple Valley, Minnesota, is one of my favorite zoos to shoot in. I love the natural enclosures and thier size. Mississinewa 1812 Each year my father (Tim Denny) and I take a “photography trip”. Most commonly we go late in the year for Fall colors. This year we spent a week in Indiana, taking photos at a re-enactment and covered bridges of Parke County. The Battle of the Mississinewa, also known as Mississineway, was an expedition ordered by William Henry Harrison against Miami Indian villages in response to the attacks on Fort Wayne and Fort Harrison in the Indiana Territory. The battle is significant as the first American victory in the War of 1812. The site is near the city of Marion, Indiana. Mississinewa 1812 is not a re-enactment of the battle. It is a period re-enactment that captures the lifestyles and military living in the period 1812. If you ever get a chance I totally recommend the event. Trully enjoyable. Over the next several weeks I will be posting images taken at Mississinewa 1812 along with covered bridges from Parke County, Indiana. The Mexican Wolf (Canis lupus baileyi) is a subspecies of the Gray Wolf. It is native to North America, where it is the rarest and most genetically distinct subspecies. Until recent times, the Mexican Wolf ranged the Sonoran and Chihuahuan Deserts from central Mexico to western Texas, southern New Mexico, and central Arizona. By the turn of the 20th century, reduction of natural prey like deer and elk caused many wolves to begin attacking domestic livestock, which led to intensive efforts by government agencies and individuals to eradicate the Mexican Wolf. Today, an estimated 300 Mexican Wolves survive in 49 facilities at the United States and Mexico. This photo was taken at the Brookfield Zoo in Brookfield, Illinois.
