This Eimco quarry loader may well have been made in India – it seems they’ve long cornered the market in rock extraction equipment… Anway, the squat, thick-set construction caught my eye as did the ghostly faded blue/grey. What a huge, uncompromising beast. Lovely!

It was taken on a very bright summer day when the shadows were very bold. note: 01 Sep 2009 / ______ A gear that drives the right track on an ancient front-end loader. Captured with CASIO 12.1Mp pocket camera Going to an early dinner at the Country Cousin Restaurant in Centralia WA, US, I spotted two old work horses that I hadn’t really paid attention to before. If you just can’t see it I “stood the tractor on its side” for the tee. / Also available in picture form.
