/ A Friendly Pet Shop / Who are YOU to Judge? This is my Giant Green Iguana she was 3 years old in this photograph but she is now 5 and fully grown. Green iguanas live up to 25 years if well cared for. They only eat rich greens. My girl is 5 feet and 10 pounds. These animals are not endagerd, however, they are endagerd in the wild because of the pet idustry, the green iguana is being over hunted. / My goal with this photo is to show a healthy happy lizard, NOT to get you to buy one. In fact I am strongly against it. Most people don’t have the money, time or tolerance for the cranky iguana. They take 2-3 years to tame and cost a lot to upkeep. / these are tropical lizards and require not only special food and housing, but a vet too! / For more information about how to care for your pet / iguana, or to learn more about what it takes to own one, please visit: Green Iguana Society / / Copyright / These Images and Writings Do Not Belong To ANY Public Domain. Thanks Phil Lynott, for the inspiration. Dancing in the moonlight, / It’s caught me in its spotlight, / On the long hot summer night. _“Dancing in the Moonlight” is the title song on the 1973 King Harvest album. The track was released as a single and it reached #13 on the Billboard Hot 100. They released other singles but these were never able to match the success of “Dancing in the Moonlight”. The track used a Wurlitzer electric piano thoroughout. The song was written in 1968 by Sherman Kelly, whose brother, Wells Kelly – King Harvest’s drummer in the early 1970s – introduced the song to the band. It was originally recorded in 1970 by the American band, Boffalongo. Wells Kelly was also the original drummer for Orleans. King Harvest recorded and released Dancing in the Moonlight as a 45 rpm single, with Lady, Come Home to Me on the B side, while the band was based in Paris. Steve Cutler, a jazz drummer from New York City played drums on the tracks and toured with the band in France and England. The group disbanded after six months and the single languished for a year until it was bought and released worldwide by Perception records. A cover version was released in the UK in 1973 by singing and dancing act Young Generation, but despite heavy airplay, failed to chart. The song’s first line, “We get it on most every night” is often misheard as “We get it almost every night” Thin Lizzy’s 1977 UK single release – “Dancin’ In The Moonlight (It’s Caught Me In Its Spotlight)” should not be confused with the King Harvest song, as it is a completely different track._

Live from Weedy Field, this is Papa before he became Papa Three-foot. (He lost a rear foot somewhere and was looking for it quite a long time before giving up, returning to see me). He’s standing in front of Lizzy’s Home, western the planter on the northern side of the field. Lizzy wasn’t home or one of them would have had a rather interesting reaction since alligator lizards and tree squirrels aren’t usually ‘bosom buddies’. A few images of Lizzy and her mates may be up and about soon but there will always be more of Papa and JJ, the most interactive creatures in Weedy Field. Also, there’s a calendar of the Weedy Field folks in my calendars section. :-)

This is the beautiful Miss Lizzi, as her many fans may know. She happily posed for me today, and this pic was taken with the little compact camera which I won in a magazine competition. It’s a Fuji Finepix S1000fd, and this pic is straight from the camera, absolutely no processing – but my fave model does not need any processing, does she?? Fuji Finepix S1000fd / 1/180 sec, F5, ISO 400 This image featured in The Compact Group in March 2009. Much appreciated, thank you. and featured in the group Cats and Dogs in April 2009. The Victory Column (Berliner Siegessäule) is a famous monument in Berlin, Germany. Designed by Heinrich Strack after 1864 to commemorate the Prussian victory in the Danish-Prussian War, by the time it was inaugurated on 2 September 1873, Prussia had also defeated Austria in the Austro-Prussian War (1866) and France in the Franco-Prussian War (1870–71), giving the statue a new purpose. Different from the original plans, these later victories in the so-called unification wars inspired the addition of the bronze sculpture of Victoria, 8.3 meters high and weighing 35 tonnes, designed by Friedrich Drake. Berliners, with their fondness for giving nicknames to famous buildings, call the statue Goldelse, meaning something like “Golden Lizzy”. /
