My brother rides bikes and heard a wonderful explanation of the thrill of biking, which I am paraphrasing: / When you are in a scenic place in a car, it is like watching a movie…. / When you are in this place on your bike, you are IN the movie… Taken on the west edge of Calgary around 1976 of my brother doing a wheelie. This area has been covered with condos for several years now as the city has spread miles westward. /

Last night, as I lay down due to not feeling well, I looked out my window by chance at my car that I had parked out front….... I saw the most amazing red glow in my windshield…....... I got up to go and look, and the most vibrant and amazing sunset was glowing just behind my house…....... The colors were soooooooooo bright and the beauty was overwhelming…...... as I sit high up on the edge of a cliff waiting for the moon to rise from the sea I watched all these crazy fisherpersons dodging the waves on the rock shelf over yonder. one slip and your fish supper not having fish for supper…. I guess it’s just lucky that the swell wasn’t all that big… or maybe it just looks more dangerous from where I was sitting that it really was down there on the rocks…and maybe they were looking up at me perched on the edge of the cliff thinking something similar…. life is funny sometimes / . /

Or the beginning of a wonderful night. A compilation created in Photoshop with 2 of my own images: / I built the window myself with lines and textures. The start images: the Tennessee River and my friend’s backyard. She has 2 water tanks that sit on the hill and the sunset was spectacular creating an amazing silohuette. / - subtle sun rays come through the window along with the soft breeze cooling as it caresses the river. these endless soft rolling banks of clouds just need a brace of angels to complete this scene… maybe this is an angel dormitory and they all just snuggle up side by side and get comfy tucking in their wings and gossiping about the day they have had before pulling up a little cloud over them and getting a few moments of shut eye before it all starts again….
