Asteroids was a video arcade game released in 1979 by Atari Inc. It was one of the most popular and influential games of the Golden Age of Arcade Games. The objective of Asteroids was to score as many points as possible by destroying asteroids and flying saucers. The player controlled a ship that could rotate left and right, fire shots straight forward, and thrust forward. The player could also send their ship into hyperspace, causing it to disappear and reappear in a random location on the screen (with the risk of self-destructing or appearing on top of an asteroid). Each stage started with a few asteroids drifting in random directions on the screen. Objects wrapped around the screen edges. As the player shots asteroids, they broke into smaller asteroids which frequently moved faster and were more difficult to hit. Smaller asteroids also scored higher points. Periodically, a flying saucer appeared on one side of the screen and moved across to the other before disappearing again. There was a minimalist soundtrack featuring a memorable deep-toned electronic “heartbeat”, which quickened as the asteroid density was reduced by the player’s fire. Once the screen had been cleared of all asteroids and flying saucers, a new set of large asteroids appeared. The number of asteroids increased each round up to a maximum of twelve. The game was over when the player had lost all remaining lives.

I was watching the movie “The Ultimate Gift” listening to the character played by James Garner talking to his grandson when he said… ‘Learning is a gift… even if pain is your teacher”. As soon as the words had finished coming out of his mouth I honestly said out loud – YES!! Immediately I was blown away by the quote and I wrote it down and thought about its meaning for weeks. I’ve never felt so affected by a sentence before. Upon reflecting this quote I found quite confronting to realise that I spent my twenties doing everything to avoid and “run away” from my emotional pain.. Now in my 30s I’ve realised that pain was essential for me to be a more caring, less-judgemental and forgiving person. Pain seems to show us the truth in others… the truth that all people, no matter what’s on the outside… have a heart capable of breaking on the inside. It is possible to add a very useful tool to every site (RedBubble Profile, Bubblesite, any Art-site or T-Shirt-site…) to see directly and live, who is visiting you…. :) For me it is very informative…..... maybe for you too…....... Now I will describe how to do this…........... You have to go here to FEEDJIT and you will see there in frames, under “Cut and paste the code below into any HTML page for your own instant Live Traffic Feed” a code, looking for example like this: < a href=”http://feedjit.com/ir1/5ceae12346ade7ae/”>< img src=”http://feedjit.com/b/5ceae12346ade7ae.png” alt=”” ISMAP />< /a> Just copy it, paste to the site where you want to see your visitors (write it for example in your comments of a new photo, which you have just posted)... Now you have to copy the last html-address (in this example: http://feedjit.com/b/5ceae12346ade7ae.png) and use it as a “normal” picture you want to post… Just write it between two exclamation marks: ! http://feedjit.com/b/5ceae12346ade7ae.png! (without the empty space….) Now you add the first html-address from Feedjit and use it like a link (in our example: http://feedjit.com/ir1/5ceae12346ade7ae/).... Because of this adaptation to work this tool here at RedBubble some informations are lost, but anyway, you still can see live your visitors, not only as a number, but as a live feed….................. This juvenile bald eagle carries the carcass of a mallard duck, he may have killed himself, or stolen from another eagle. Life in the marsh can be difficult, and all its inhabitants struggle to survive during the winter. This image was captured at a marsh in the Comox Valley of Canada’s Vancouver Island in February of 2009 using a Nikon D300, a Nikkor f4 600 mm lens, on a large Gitzo tripod, ISO 400, f4, 1/500s. Within a few seconds of this capture, the eagle loses his grip on the duck and drops it into the waters of the marsh in an image I titled, The Gruesome End

The Wood Family Farmhouse was built in 1866. Some time after the civil war the family lost all their investments and sold the home and farmland to the Harris family. The last occupant, Mrs. Harris passed away in the house in the late 1970’s, and the house has been left alone ever since.
