I have always been aware of the beauty of the world we live in, but the longer I live, the more I see…...the more I feel…..and life seems even more beautiful to me…..the sky, in particular, speaks to my heart…..I love the vastness of the sky….the ever-changing colors….and the unique beauty it brings to each new day. Truly, life is beautiful….. Summer sunset in Estes Park, Colorado. /
Critiques and Comments are welcome :)
I took this photo of my husband Tommy and his brother Jerry as they returned from fishing at Toledo Bend Lake in Louisiana. It was almost dark; the last colors in the sky were about to fade. It was such a serene moment I wanted to hold onto it forever. This photo reminds me of the close bond Tommy and Jerry have always had and always will have. To me, they represent the brotherhood of mankind, sharing the “boat” of life on planet earth. Oh, that we could all live in the peace and harmony Tommy and Jerry share!

IF we believe that CHRIST has died for us, are we going to continue doing the same as before we acknowledged HIM ? / If we recognize HIM as LORD, how ,can we BE DIFFERENT ? / That is the challenge set before us every day ! / HOW CAN WE PLEASE GOD ? / HOW CAN WE SHOW HIS LOVE TO OTHERS ? / If Christians dont live up to standards, we cant expect people to BELIEVE IN HIM ! / It has always been the ISSUE FOR THE PAST CENTUARIES ! / / THIS WORK HAS BEEN DONE IN ACRYLICS ON CANEVAS
Stepstones / From a series where i look at death and different aspect of death and dying. Poem writen by Butchart staring at your guts / the answer is there / but you don’t want it / let it bleed / begging like a child / you throw it away / leave it / for another day / tics run forwrd / tocks retreat / thoughts run nowhere / caught in defeat / of unawareness / knowing / nothing matters / til the mirror speaks / listen / to what you see This is a composite of two different images blended in CS. Inspired by Time – Pink Floyd Great music great lyrics great video !! Lyrics Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day / You fritter and waste the hours in an off hand way / Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town / Waiting for someone or something to show you the way Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain / You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today / And then one day you find ten years have got behind you / No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but its sinking / And racing around to come up behind you again / The sun is the same in the relative way, but youre older / Shorter of breath and one day closer to death Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time / Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines / Hanging on in quiet desperation is the english way / The time is gone, the song is over, thought Id something more to say Home, home again / I like to be here when I can / And when I come home cold and tired / Its good to warm my bones beside the fire / Far away across the field / The tolling of the iron bell / Calls the faithful to their knees / To hear the softly spoken magic spells. This is my way to healing and selfrealization. If my work can give something to an other human being it´s many times worth the effort. Thanks for stopping by and look into my world for a / minute. ...roy x

PLEASE VIEW LARGE TO SEE DETAIL I find myself getting discouraged again – feeling like only a handful of people really like my work…feeling like giving up. But, I’m addicted to this…and, a glutton for punishment…and so I persist, and you lot must put up with me. This is a fantasy composite about seizing the day, seizing the moment, living for today, living in the now and living with passion and not letting an opportunity to enjoy yourself and experience pleasure pass you by. I did a black and white version and this colour version and, to be honest, I liked them both so much that I didn’t know which to post and, so, decided to post them both – which is something I rarely do…with me, you usually get one or the other, not both. But, this way you can decide which one you like best – you know, if you like either one, that is. All my own photos used. Black and White Version /
Exeter Cathedral, England, UK. This was the only one of many cathedrals we visited which appeared very much alive and evidently faith filled. / As further evidence of this, at regular set intervals during the day one of the clergy stood in the pulpit, asked everyone to stop and stand in silence while he prayed in this, the house of God. It only took less than a minute, but sent a clear message to all there beholding this beautiful place. BEST VIEWED LARGER
