  • Every aspect of our lives is governed by numbers…........except true love…..... . /

  • A montage of layers with my intent being the depiction of “Time” standing still….the death of time if you will…......... Please view this in it’s enlarged format to get the most from it. • This is the third in my “Can I Live Here Too” series…a baby panda bear…These are such beautiful special beings…its not fair at all what is happening to them…It is estimated that there are somewhere around 700 and 1,000 giant pandas still alive in the wild. Because they rely on bamboo as their main food they will remain in danger unless their habitat is expanded. The differing varieties of bamboo go through periodic die-offs as part of their renewal cycle. Without the ability to move into new areas that have not been affected many Pandas will starve to death. When die-offs occur the bears that do try to find a new place to feed often run into farmers and poachers. / As with all in this series 50% of any and all proceeds go to the Defenders of Wildlife: in my attempt to help….please help open people’s eyes and show them how to love….

  • This is the second in the ‘Can I Live Here Too’ series…this is a bengal tiger cub….alone his parents poached for their skins and bones for silly human reasons…he now has to find a way to survive….this is a sad story with no happy ending….the statistics for these beautiful and magestic beings are not good at all and if we dont do anything soon they will be gone…one day the only place our children will be able to view a tiger is in a book….is this ok? do people not see a problem with this?we cant sit back and watch these wonderful souls disappear, because us humans have such huge egos and think we have a right to own the world….help me in the fight for their lives….spread the word, knowledge is power! “Can you look me in my eyes and still leave me cold and alone….” / As with all in this series 50% of any and all proceeds go to the Defenders of Wildlife: in my attempt to help….please help open people’s eyes and show them how to love…. / Another way to help save these babies! With a T-Shirt!

  • Another shot from my cemetery series. This shot really caught my eye, man lays asleep waiting for the resurrection and nature lays dormant waiting for that breath of new life come spring. The orange of the leaves is a promise and a sign of hope that this is not the end of life but only the beginning. / / More in this cemetery series: / / / / / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / / /

  • The city that never sleeps. My advice is print this big ! I printed it 600mm x 800mm and almost everyone who has seen it wants one. This work is also included in my Digital Landscapes Calender. For those with a limited budget this is a great way to buy a lot images at lower individual cost.

  • Looking at the stars…., it is what the kids did during our Art in All of Us (www.artinallofus.org) activities in their tiny village in Congo last year !!!

  • This ahot has been taken in Uzhgorod (Ukraine) some years ago when I was temporaly working there. After finishing the work every day I used to go to the downtown and was “fishing” in that uniques feeling that I had nevef felt before.

  • Combination one room school house, church, community building, and town hall. These structures are scattered through out the Ozark Mountains, and the foothills of Arkansas. Sooooooo…... These types of scenes are very familiar to me, living here in the good ol’ natural state. My very first years of school began in a one room school house almost identical to this one, and it is now long gone.. When I look at this photograph, I can still see us all running, and playing in the school yard, and hear all of our laughter, and screaming. All the sounds of the children playing, as we went along in our merry, carefree younger days. I remember…........

  • A mixed media on canvas that unfolded over a period of 12 months and recently came together as this, rather unusual piece of work that incorporates a variety of mediums including collage, acrylic, gesso, sand, inks and guache… pretty much anything that I wanted. I guess the theme remained one of experimentation and my attitude stayed playful and open to where the painting wanted to lead me. Most of my work, particularly my abstracts, are intuitive, there is no prior thought process or decision on what I want to create and I let the work take me on a path rather than me moulding it from the early stages. Perhaps this is why this painting unfolded as a game, and on a slightly more deeper level, is about the games we play and the gambles we take in our lives. Please follow me ... oh, and one last point of interest. Some of you have already commented or favourited the previous versions of this painting, guess it goes to show how much our work can change in a short space of time. Pretty exciting to watch this journey as I enter my 3rd year of painting. Have a happy day and thanks for looking : ) LARGE SCALE VIEWING IS RECOMMENDED

  • I find this bird to be one of those birds that is a pleasure to watch.. they are usually found alone.. and they must dry their wings , before diving again, due to no oil glands on the wings. Lakes Park. Fort Myers, Florida. Sony DSC H 7 ** / This is a clickable image

  • These are the same roses from Valentine’s Day with the velvetly petals. I adjusted the white balance on my camera before shooting to give it a bluish tone. It looks like crushed eyeshadow to me…:D Shot with a sigma 105mm macro, indoors with flash. Enjoy!

  • Stepstones / / From a series where i look at death and different aspect of death and dying. Inspired by / Tangerine Dream – Cyclone – Madrigal Meridian and by Philip Glass – Metamorphosis (Uakti) This is a composite. First image is almost untouched and created with long exposure with a flashlight. Second layer is worked in CS. Both blended and mixed in CS. For the image on the main layer I try to keep the Photoshop-work to a minimum to not loose the ethereal energy the method some times captures. This is my way to healing and selfrealization. If my work can give something to an other human being it´s many times worth the effort. Thanks for stopping by and look into my world for a minute. ...roy

Konfuzius says / The person has to trade in three ways ways wisely: First by reflexion, this is the noblest one. Secondly by imitation, this is the lightest one. Thirdly by experience, this is the most bitter one. designed in Apophysis – postwork in Paint Shop (Fractalius Filter)
