  • Barack Obama – Change for America, for the World, for All of Us – The Audacity of Hope On November 4, 2008, Barack Obama defeated John McCain and became the first African American to be elected President of the United States. In his victory speech, delivered before a crowd of hundreds of thousands of his supporters in Grant Park in Chicago, Illonois, Obama proclaimed that “change has come to America.” Born in Hawaii, Obama will be the first U.S. President born outside the contiguous United States. He also will be fifth youngest President at the date of accession and the second since Lincoln whose primary political base is Illinois. This portrait illustrates and epitomizes the audacity of hope. President Obama was sworn in as the 44th President of the United States of America on January 20, 2009. Selected information courtesy of Wikipedia. • © C J Lewis. Digital art created using PhotoPlus6 for air-brushing, painting, colouring & sizing. I use the mouse with the smudge tool to move the colours around and into the shapes desired as I don’t have a Wacom tablet. Photograph of the tree & area used as the inspiration for the subject matter. BEST VIEWED LARGE Part of the Nature Characters Series In my local park there is an amazing tree with red branches and small red berries that fall off it and spread on the ground around it … the most amazing red coloured tree I have ever seen anywhere in my life … so I asked God to bless that tree for its beauty and as it brought such brightness via the wonderful colour to the park & surrounding area. I painted this with the air-brush and painting tools on my computer using the photograph below that I took of it as the reference…with some artistic license. • Innocent Partner
    by Anni Morris

    US$4.49–US$102.60

Title: Innocent Partner / Medium: Acrylic on stretched canvas / Size: 500mm x 600mm This was a painting I recently finished. It was an art challenge held by the New Zealand Art Guild. Four things ha to be incorporated in an artwork, they were: / innocence, orange, umbrella and triangle. Here is Little Red Riding Hood (the innocent) although she doesn’t look it here…with the Big Bad Wolf who has offered her shelter under his umbrella as it has started to snow again. She is on her way to take some fruit (orange amongst them) to her elderly Grandma who lives in a cottage deep in the forest. I wanted to interpret ‘triangle’ in the three character relationship i.e. Little Red Riding Hood, her Grandma and the Big Bad Wolf. Alternatively sections of the umbrella are triangular in shape.

  • Touched By The Hand Of God
    by C J Lewis

    US$6.65–US$152.00

© C J Lewis Mixed media of photography and digital art created using PhotoPlus6. This art is also included in the Digital Collection #2 2009 Calendar which you can see Here Based on a spiritual experience when 13yrs old. In a dream I was taken in spirit to the top chamber of a pyramid (above the Kings Chamber) where I was placed on an alter and a vibrant white light came shooting down from the heavens through a pin hole in the top of the pyramid and spread over and through me while at the same time lights shot out of me…then all went calm and I woke up. Coldplay To me, Touched By The hand Of God means many things. God being the name I choose to use for the greater source energy that is within all and that we can access through our conscious awareness of being by which we can then connect to all creativity, transformation and knowledge for our life from within…the light that guides us by our conscious awareness of the gift of life we have been honoured to live. The light that guides from higher intelligence…to our intellect…our intuition…and gives us self control over the egoic mind, the old devil, that causes so much pain and sorrow not only in our personal life but also in this world. / MCN:C0793-EF08E-59B82

  • Cry of the Curlew
    by ginnymac

    US$4.32–US$98.80

The Cry of the Curlew from a fictioninal novel but based on fact, is very involved ..In the early days of white people occupying and taking over the indigenous people’s land in outback Australia the native aboriginals were considered vermin and there was a determined effort to make them extinct, one way to do this was to poison their waterholes.;hence the two figures in the waterhole.I did this in similar way rock art is drawn, the legend is whenever there is a death the bush curlew cries I haven’t heard one, but they only cry when distressed and apparently the sound is really long mournful and once heard not forgotten. / / Pastel painting from the book Cry of the Curlew by Peter Watt / http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/w/peter-watt/cry-of-curlew.htm http://www.peterwatt.com/australia.htm About the Author Peter Watt’s life experiences have included time as a soldier, articled clerk to a solicitor, prawn trawler deckhand, builder’s labourer, pipe layer, real estate salesman, private investigator, police sergeant and adviser to the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary. He has lived and worked with Aborigines, Islanders, Vietnamese and Papua New Guineans. / He speaks, reads and writes Vietnamese and Pidgin – and has a reasonable grasp of the English language. He currently lives in Maclean, on the Clarence River in Northern NSW. Good friends, fine food, fishing and the vast open spaces of outback Queensland are his main interests in life. He also enjoys SCUBA diving, military history, crosswords (but not the cryptic kind) and teaching. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Management, the Australian Institute of Training and Development and the Australian Society of Authors. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree (University of Tasmania), Post Graduate Diploma of Training & Development (University of New England) and an Associate Diploma of Justice Administration (Sturt University). / Peter’s publisher. Pan-Mcmillon purchased the original painting from me a few years ago and it is hanging in their Sydney offices. [this is a copy because the author wanted it for himslelf and I thought I would get around to it at some time so I could give it to him and I forgot to photograph the original properly]

  • © C J Lewis. A photograph of a ghost gum tree trunk was the inspiration for the subject matter. PhotoPlus6 for air-brushing, smudging, colouring, contrasting and sizing. I use the mouse with the smudge tool to move the colours around and into the shapes desired as I don’t have a Wacom tablet. BEST VIEWED LARGE Part of the Nature Characters Series Tibetan Chant for Enlightened Mind The word Christ in Eastern terminology means the enlightened one, a vehicle of enlightenment it was not actually a part of the name of the man, that was called Jesus Christ. He was called Jesus Christ as he was Jesus, the man, who was enlightened and as such understood the energies, and therefore the process of life, in this world which is what sayings such as: “As you sow so shall you reap” and “As you give so shall you receive” and other such explanations referred to…the physics of the energies of this world. Enlightened, enlightenment basically means the understanding, the conscious awareness, of just being and living from the higher sense of the knowledge of self, the Higher Spirit which is directly linked to the Soul, the divine God essence of All, that is above the egocentric mind-set which creates animosities when emotions run high and reactions occur to the action of not thinking what is going through one’s mind…reacting in anger to a situation that has made you feel wronged or whatever instead of seeing the emotion for what it is…a bad feeling that urges you on to create a drama in your life. Such unconscious awareness is a form of mental dysfunction (mental illness) and causes reactions such as segregation, wars, killing, jealousies, envies etc and pits nation against nation. It’s also the cause of the many problems, both past and present, that creates suffering. © C J Lewis, Sydney, 2008. / MCN:C09C5-FFD05-4D484 Below is the photograph of a tree trunk that I looked within to create this art work.

  • Vibrations
    by C J Lewis

    US$6.65–US$152.00

© C J Lewis. Digital art created using Apophysis software and PhotoPlus for painting, blending, air-brushing and sizing. This art is also included in the Digital Collection #2 2009 Calendar which you can see Here Positive Vibrations / MCN:C4D5D-A8915-E89BE The Ancient Egyptians, the Babylonians, the Mayan Indians and other ancient civilizations knew about and lived by it, for they knew they were it…vibrations, a greater part of the Law Of Attraction. We are vibrations; so smell it, feel it, see it, taste it, hear it, breath it and live it with love…open up your senses to who and what you are…for what your vibrations put out, governed by your emotions, is what you get back. Vibrations are the energy waves of your emotions. To live in the Light means to be consciously aware that you are the Light and as such the vibrations of your emotions do have an effect upon not only yourself but also others around you. Here is an excerpt from ‘The Seat Of The Soul’ by Gary Zukav taken from Chapter 6 – Light (page 93/94). You participate in a form of data bank exchange, so to speak, with all the souls that you are close to, and, to some extent, with all the souls that touch your life. As you shift your data bank content and the information that you send to a soul, it is processed through his or her own system. It is at that level that the cause and effect of your intentions, they way that you choose to shape your energy, influences others. How does this happen? You are a system of Light, as are all beings. The frequency of your Light depends upon your consciousness. When you shift the level of your consciousness, you shift the frequency of your Light. If you choose to forgive someone who has wronged you, for example, rather than to hate that person, you shift the frequency of your Light. If you choose to feel affection, or kinship, with a person rather than distance or coldness, you shift the frequency of your Light. Emotions are currents of energy with different frequencies. Emotions that we think of as negative, such as hatred, envy, disdain and fear have a lower frequency, and less energy, than emotions that we think of as positive, such as affection, joy, love, and compassion. When you choose to replace a lower-frequency current of energy, such as anger, with a higher frequency current, such as forgiveness, you raise the frequency of your Light. When you choose to allow higher-frequency currents of energy to run through your system, you experience more energy. When a person is despairing, for example, or anxious, he or she feels physically depleted because he or she has merged with an energy current of low frequency. A person in this situation becomes heavy and dull, whereas a joyous person abounds with energy, and feels buoyant, because he or she is running a higher-frequency current of energy through his or her system. Different thoughts create different emotions. Thoughts of vengeance, violence, and greed, or thoughts of using others, for example, create emotions such as anger, hatred, jealousy, and fear. These are low-frequency currents of energy, and therefore, they lower the frequency of your Light, or consciousness. Creative or loving or caring thoughts invoke high-frequency emotions, such as appreciation, forgiveness and joy, and raise the frequency of your system. If your thoughts are thoughts that draw low-frequency energy currents to you, your physical and emotional attitudes will deteriorate, and emotional or physical disease will follow, whereas thoughts that draw high-frequency energy currents to you create physical and emotional health. Lower-frequency systems pull energy from higher-frequency systems. If you are unaware of your emotions and your thoughts, your frequency will be lowered by – you will lose energy to – a system of lower frequency than your own. We say, for example, that a depressed person is “draining”, or that he or she “sucks up energy.” A system of sufficiently high frequency will soothe, or calm, or refresh you because of the effect of the quality of its Light upon your system. Such a system is “radiant.” By choosing your thoughts, and by selecting which emotional currents you will release and which you will reinforce, you determine the quality of your Light. You determine the effects that you will have upon others, and the nature of the experiences of your life. Excerpt from The Seat Of The Soul – Gary Zukav / / As Jesus said: “Forgive, before you enter the Temple”. The temple is the body in which a part of your soul – the personality lives – and to forgive all you feel was wronged against you is to forgive not only others but first and foremost forgiving yourself for allowing yourself to take on misinterpreted emotions. By forgiving you do not carry animosity throughout your life creating more troubled emotions for not only yourself but also for others.
