To All My Guides, Who Work To Inspire Me Catharine Crowe once said..’A great many things have been pronounced untrue and absurd, and even impossible, by the highest authorities in the age in which they lived, which have afterwards, within a very short period, been found to be both possible and true. Painting with acrylics, pigment and gold leaf.

James Lister was an actor on TV. At the time of me taking this shot maybe 25 years ago we were quite good friends and between acting he was working at the leisure centre I worked at to help supplement his income. A lot of the lesser known actors do this apparently. He came to me one day and asked to help him update his portfolio so this shot was one of those I took and I believe he looks a bit like Michael Landon from Little House on the Prairie and Bonanza. Well I hope you guys like the shot? Now perhaps you can help me? Does anyone know where James is these days? I believe he moved to Yorkshire with his son Johnty, (He’s the young boy with his dog in one of my other recent shots) my wife and I would love to get back in touch with him again, can you help? I don’t know whether he is still an actor or whether he gave it up. I don’t remember seeing him in many shows. He was on several advertisements and the sitcom, Just Good Friends, his character was called Lenny. Great show if you get the chance to see it. The shot was taken on my Canon AE1 35mm camera and scanned into the computer. And James if you are still around my friend, please get in touch All the Materials Contained May Not Be Reproduced, Copied, Edited, Published, Transmitted or Uploaded In Anyway Without My Permission. Built in 1924 to replace the old Lister Corners which burned down in 1923. It is a symbol for downtown Hamilton, in both it’s architecture (the first building to have an L shaped arcade) and as a symbol of neglect in the downtown section of the city. Lister has been empty since 1994 and has become home to some of the city’s denizens. But the over 10 years of abandonment has turned it into a decayed beauty. Commonly called “Lady Lister” by those who explorer her.
