This is a list of my friends, I hope I haven’t forgotten someone, Paul’s name is cut off? / I appreciate all of you, and your concern for me!!!
This is a sample of what I do with the Fly Fusion Pen-top Computer. I use it for everything, and then I just transfer my stuff onto here. his is a Ink pen, which plugs into the PC or Mac, using a USB connection. This picture was actually my Christmas list! I then turn the letters into pictures. That’s why it looks so messy. I’m more of a cartoon drawer than an artist, but I still try! I did this all free hand, with the ink pen.
Inside of the Byker Wall; few people get beyond the decorative brick work on the North Side of the wall. The south side presents a softer, and warmer side, both in terms of colour and ambient temperature. The estate in the lee of the wall actually has it’s own micro climate. The entire Byker Estate has been given Grade II* listed status (particularly significant buildings of more than local interest).
Sleepover tiger style – the Sumatran tigers enjoy the first warm rays of sun. Like all tiger species they are endangered with extinction – current estimates speak of 400-500 of them as the remaining wild population. / Recent genetic testing showed signs (unique DNA markers) that this tiger species may develop into a separate species should they survive the incursions of humans into their jungles. But that seems unlikely – as alone in the years 1999+2000 66 of these majestic animals have been shot, nearly 1/5th of the whole population, but despite those numbers logging and other habitat destruction is the major threat to their survival. The Sumatran Tiger’s entry in the Red List of Endangered Species can be found here Location: Wilhelma Stuttgart (Germany)

The 1914 Edinburgh Odeon is a Category B listed cinema. The outside doesn’t look like much, but inside – when we were allowed in – it is pure Edwardian “Italian Renaissance” – dramatic and splendid, from when going to the cinema was a treat, not a cardboard package.
Catalysts for the psyche are abundantly endowed with Nature’s Form, are within the subjective symetrical manifest, and allow the mind to surface sleeping modes on archetypal prompts. To consciously create them within a process of near-manifested tangibles is a muse for many. / Creating art is a responsibility, gift, and passion. I explore ambiguous visual platforms where the circular and the linear merge and viewer preconscious projections nest, if only for a moment. When I draw, I use ink (no plans nor errors) and then color while searching for insight, healing and growth. Then I scan and build symmetries usually using ULead Photo Express on a digital desktop. There I break the modified symmetries where inkblot projective tests may dwarf. Drawing to discover is a mode to overcoming my personal sense of isolation; and a portal where I awaken to something greater than myself alone: To that which always was, I had only forgotten.

European green lizard / Östliche Smaradeidechse / Lacerta viridis The green lizard is one of the largest lizards you can find in Europe (if you are lucky enough to do so – it took me more than 5 years to really see one long enough to take photos) – head and torso together reach about 12-14 cm, with the tail it becomes harder to say as most of the adults have lost parts of their tails over the years and only partially regenerated that damage, but overall lengths of up to 40 cm have been documented. This green lizard shows the first signs of the blue chin/neck coloring that makes up the “mating frock” that comes out in spring after the first shedding after the winter rest. They are very shy and hide quickly when they notice someone approaching, the best chances to see them is in spring during their morning sun-bath while they are still sluggish from the cool nights. They have a very sensitive vibration-sense so you have to step softly or they are gone before you can see them… This green lizard was photographed in the Kaiserstuhl (Germany) which houses the most western population of the eastern variety of the green lizard. Only relatively new DNA examinations proved that the previous classification as western green lizard was wrong. The green lizard is a very endangered species in some regions: Red List of Germany: Category 1 (endangered with extinction) / EU’s Habitats Directive categorizes the green lizard as a species in need of “special protection” / same goes for the Bundesartenschutzverordnung (Federal Species Protection law) “As the green lizard spans a wide area with its habitat it is only listed as “least concern on the IUNC Red List, but they also mention there that the population trend is declining… Some of the dangers to them are the loss of living space to both farming and climate change [the second point mostly for the northern populations such as those found in Brandenburg, Germany] as they have very specific needs in terms of where they can live. / Another danger is the (illegal) capture by humans and predation by cats. ++ More informations (in German) here ++ Location: Kaiserstuhl, Germany

Got in my e-mail today from Charlena , Thanks for making my day! AN ACTUAL CRAIG’S LIST PERSONALS AD To the Guy Who Tried to Mug Me in Downtown Savannah night before last Date: 2009-05-27, 1:43 a.m. E.S.T. I was the guy wearing the black Burberry jacket that you demanded that I hand over, shortly after you pulled the knife on me and my girlfriend, threatening our lives. You also asked for my girlfriend’s purse and earrings. I can only hope that you somehow come across this rather important message. First, I’d like to apologize for your embarrassment; I didn’t expect you to actually crap in your pants when I drew my pistol after you took my jacket. The evening was not that cold, and I was wearing the jacket for a reason. My girlfriend had just bought me that Kimber Model 1911 ..45 ACP pistol for my birthday, and we had picked up a shoulder holster for it that very evening. Obviously you agree that it is a very intimidating weapon when pointed at your head … isn’t it?! I know it probably wasn’t fun walking back to wherever you’d come from with that brown sludge in your pants. I’m sure it was even worse walking bare-footed since I made you leave your shoes, cell phone, and wallet with me. [That prevented you from calling or running to your buddies to come help mug us again]. After I called your mother, or “Momma” as you had her listed in your cell, I explained t / he entire episode of what you’d done. Then I went and filled up my gas tank as well as those of four other people in the gas station, on your credit card. The guy with the big motor home took 150 gallons and was extremely grateful! I gave your shoes to a homeless guy outside Vinnie Van Go Go’s, along with all the cash in your wallet. [That made his day!] I then threw your wallet into the big pink “pimp mobile” that was parked at the curb … after I broke the windshield and side window and keyed the entire driver’s side of the car. Later, I called a bunch of phone sex numbers from your cell phone. Ma Bell just now shut down the line, although I only used the phone for a little over a day now, so what ’s going on with that? Earlier, I managed to get in two threatening phone calls to the DA’s office and one to the FBI, while mentioning President Obama as my possible target. The FBI guy seemed really intense and we had a nice long chat (I guess while he traced your number etc.). In a way, perhaps I should apologize for not killing you … but I feel this type of retribution is a far more appropriate punishment for your threatened crime. I wish you well as you try to sort through some of these rather immediate pressing issues, and can only hope that you have the opportunity to reflect upon, and perhaps reconsider, the career path you’ve chosen to pursue in life. Remember, next time you might not be so lucky. Have a good day! Thoughtfully yours, Alex P.S. Remember this motto … An armed society makes for a more civil society!
The Dingo flour mill in Fremantle, Western Australia photographed just before sunset. The Dingo flour sign is a local Fremantle icon, and has been heritage listed. The sign was first painted in the late 1940’s, but was painted over during the second world war, which was a necessary war precaution. After the war, the sign was repainted using the original outline and has been maintained ever since. Canon EOS 7D.
