  • Eric the Elephant, a children’s book character I have developed. Water color, pencil, ink, chinograph pencil on cartridge paper. Eric has a passion for building motors, this starts when he is quite young as you can see.

  • Ink pen and pencil on embossed paper, digitally enhanced. The feeling of wanting to flee from oneself to take a break from the self to be free from ones own constraints, obligations, limitations and thought process. To be free…to be free of me.

  • None

  • When our mind becomes alight.

  • Mixed media on Cartridge Paper. The image is an androgynous one, because lets face it feelings like this can happen to us all.

  • Hand drawn image using ink pen and colored pencils on embossed paper, digitally enhanced. A card for Fathers Day.

  • Love is not a birthright, it is a choice made by the parent. This is dedicated to those who are lucky enough to have one. For Fathers Day.

  • Choosing to love.

  • In the backyard. The freedom of childhood is sublime. Pencil and ink pen on embossed paper, digitally finished.

  • Somethings are better second time around.

  • When I asked Scott Robinson to rework this image I thought it might prove difficult him handling such a ‘soft’ image. How wrong I was. I love this even more than I can explain, this is my first collaboration and had no idea how blown away I would be by the experience. I have a new level of respect and admiration for you Scott and it was pretty lofty to begin with. A heartfelt Thank you. Scott Robinson

  • I was asked by a very good and caring individual to create this work for his partner as a gift. Often when I create these images I find there is a lot of thought put into the positioning of their arms and the gestures communicated by say the tilt of their head, or torso. As the faces are not apparent it is up to me to communicate what I perceive with the use of line, texture and shadow. As I drew this piece I speculated, and I do not know this couple well enough to know these things, but let’s just say the ideas came through as I created this work. The character to the left is lurching back ever so slightly, while the character on the right embraces his face – looking directly at him. He sees ‘Red’ for who he truly is. Red finds this disconcerting initially but his is one of the many reasons Red loves him. Red bodily embraces “Grey” his energy and his passions, Red harnesses and grounds Grey enabling him to grow. I hope you enjoy the work I have created for you guys and have no idea whether if any of what I have written is relevant but thought I would share my take on the work. Enjoy Bello’s! Hope you have a great Valentines Shane and Matt!

  • This is literally how my children hug me. My eldest son presses his face into me and my youngest son just squeezes me. ..and yes do see myself like this. I almost hope the original doesn’t sell. My husband doesn’t feature in this work as I love him in a different way.

  • This was done a while ago , I didn’t like it and put it away, I found it today – and quite liked it. There you go.

  • The sunset colours, / the setting of the sun indicating an end to the unfathomable 2009 fires of black Saturday. The tall trees with limbs represent the entire families taken, / the saplings the young lives cut short. The child represents our hope, / the single leaf the renewable nature of our botany. The single yellow ribbon, / those millions who gave from their hearts in everyway they could. To this child the leaf is salvation and from where she stands it is all she can see.
