My eye looking through Dove Tree flower, together with image of myself as a child holding Kishy cat. Overlaid with two images – one of cobweb/spiders web and the other raindrops on a windowpane. I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams … glitter in the dark near Tanhauser Gate. All those … moments will be lost … in time, like tears … in rain. Time … to die. / Rutger Hauer/Roy Batty / Quote from BLADE RUNNER Flower of Davida Involucrata, also known as Dove Tree, Ghost Tree and/or Pocket Handkerchief Tree. Mini-me image taken by my Father.
Four images were used to create this picture. I was particularly pleased to get the shots of the Holy Blue Butterfly. This was my first attempt at an out-of-border image.
Bluebell bulbs developing on flowering stem. / I have added a TTV of an old Swiss Roll Baking Tray, as I wanted to create an aged appearance to the image!?
I tried for an oriental feel to this image, using twisted/tortured willow branches, bamboo and a cup & saucer from a Japanese Coffee Service (which was given to my parents on their marriage in 1946). The cup & saucer has taken on a life of it’s own – as a face has appeared within the dark recess of the cup. If I had tried to achieve this, I would not have been able to do it!
The life story of a Welsh Poppy! / Background and textures include (1) raindrops on window pane, (2) car sun/roof light window and (3) swiss roll baking tray. / I am not very good with verse/poems so please be kind! Dreaming dreams / Winds blow… / We bend shimmering with grace. / Buzzing bees / Shimmy through stamens… / brushing anthers showering pollen. / Yellow / Petals fall silently softly gently / littering the ground… / New beauty emerges / A summer crown… / Soon black seeds fall like rain / We dream the future. Some of the poppies before I cut them out – this time I only used the magicwand and eraser.
The life-cycle of the Yellow Fumitory. Original images before compilation. /
Sunflower & Agapanthus overlaid with two textures.
Taken with Finepix E550. Cropped. 21.10.2009 – FEATURED in *Dandelions Group
Reworked. Simon’s Choice. Changed the image shape. / Changed one of the background layers. / Desaturated the seagull a bit. The seagull is never going to amount to much – it was a small blot on a very poor photograph – taken with an Instamatic – not to mention the printing techniques!!! Aaargh! Apart from some fairly static swans/ducks this is the only bird I have a shot of!!!!!
2007 – UK’s wettest July for 240 years – taken through the car windscreen whilst waiting for my daughter & grand-daughter. This is more or less as it came out the camera – just cropped to square and upped the saturation a tad. Taken with Finepix A330 – through the windscreen. Cropped.
Scanned print ~ original taken in 1999. / Self developed and printed. / I still LOVE B&W images. / This was taken with my favourite camera to-date – Nikon FM2 (fully manual) on 35mm 200asa Ilford film.
Played with image, especially for Don. As you say, you can play and change things around and land up with umpteen different varieties, never knowing which you prefer. Anyway, here is one of them. Advocates Close ~ Original Image / Old Fishmarket Close / Fleshmarket Close /
Liminal spaces, doorways, gateways, worlds folded softly like fabric briefly touching, learning, perhaps even crossing over? The old mother-earth religion (represented by the Oak/Duir tree) melding with the newer paternal religion (represented by the arched doorway). The lamp-post perhaps guiding/lighting the way. OR – perhaps, just a strengthening of the Gothic arches – a reflection of architectural technology! Who knows? (Check out Folding Space Theory!!) ;o) This idea originally arose from a project on transmogrification or metamorphosis – the tree becomes building becomes tree becomes …..... gateway. After a suggestion from Don, I have reworked this image. I now have at least 10 on my computer, but have decided to go with this one! 24 January 2009 ~ Featured in THE HEALING JOURNEY (thank you very much to the moderators) Original Images /

(Scanned print – run through p/s watercolour process) This is the original image above. I have reloaded WITHOUT the black banding to top/bottom of image. Although I like this for display purposes, it doesn’t work with RB cards/prints.
Photomanipulation of Virginia Creeper and two shots of Holy Blue Butterfly. / Reworked image. I like the sky – but am not sure if I like it with the black background to the creeper and butterflies – any comments anyone???
Have you ever? / Have you? / Have you ever wished on a dandelion clock? / I did. / Once.

Just a bit of fun for all to enjoy. ;o) What Tarot Card Are You? ~ ~ ~ This was my result!! ~ ~ ~ / You are The High Priestess / Science, Wisdom, Knowledge, Education. / The High Priestess is the card of knowledge, instinctual, supernatural, secret knowledge. She holds scrolls of arcane information that she might, or might not reveal to you. The moon crown on her head as well as the crescent by her foot indicates her willingness to illuminate what you otherwise might not see, reveal the secrets you need to know. The High Priestess is also associated with the moon however and can also indicate change or fluxuation, particularly when it comes to your moods.
